  1. Hello, Just wanted to report the following bug: Sometimes when I try to copy something the progam hangs and stay in Not Responding state. The last time it happened was copying while selecting two objects from the layers panel. While this last time it eventually got unstuck, it took around a minute or two to do so. This problem is not EVERY time I try to copy/paste something but sometimes, frequent enough to be annoying and sometimes I just have to force quit it (thankfully haven't lost my progress, it always seems to be able to recover which is good). I took screenshots to illustrate the problem, you can see the tools being stretched (I use them non-docked) while this is happening.
  2. So, whenever I try to add a transparent image to my canvas on affinity designer the background on the image turns from transparent to black? How do I make it transparent? am I doing something wrong?
  3. First and foremost, Hello! Happy to be here with all of you, and I look forward to being part of this community! I know there are alot of installation posts on this forum, but I could not find an answer to my issue. I currently am running windows 64 bit, with all drivers, updates, and software up to date including direct x. When trying to install affinity photo my installation hangs up on the starting screen : I have tried restarting the program only to get the previous setup bug so I had to clean out windows temp and windows temp installer and try again. I also re downloaded the file and such. Can anyone help with ideas other then disabling antivirus (also already done)
  4. A few months ago I started having a problem with Designer & Photo where they frequently freeze while loading. They don't get past the title card. I found the only way to ensure they open is to restart the computer and run them again. This might indicate that there's maybe other apps interfering with them but I haven't yet figured out what it might be. I don't have any of the software on this list. I've run the Designer installer again and chosen 'repair' but this didn't fix the problem. I'm using Affinity Designer 1.5.3.69 on Windows 10 on a MS Surface Pro 4.
  5. Hello, I'm not sure if this is where I should be posting this, but here we go: A while back I started getting notifications telling me my version of Affinity Designer was out of date. I currently have version 1.5.1.43. Upon trying to update, it encountered an error. If I try to uninstall, it says "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package". I went into my C: drive and deleted all signs of "Affinity". When I try to install Affinity, I get "The older version of Affinity Designer cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group". Presumably, Affinity is still installed. How do I uninstall it completely now?
  6. Hi guys, it's pretty easy to reproduce the freezing event: just create a new document, write a text open the character panel point to the drop down menu, change the values. Set on pdf, then toggle the other menu behind, the program stalls. The only way out is the task manager P.S. That occurs in A.Designer as well :unsure:
  7. Hey there, I ran in this problem a few times now. Every now and then, when I'm in a hurry or just want to quit the app, I use the shortcut ⌘+S for saving and right after that the ⌘+Q combination to quit the app and go on. But sometimes I'm stuck with this screen. The app doesn't quit and stays open like that with the progress-bar. Menus are fully accessible and responding, except for quitting. I can open files via ⌘+O, but the little »Save document as« progress-bar stays there. Closing the opened document via ⌘+W is no problem, but the progress-bar will stay visible, and still I am not able to quit the app completely. Cheers Dennis
