  1. Hello! I found on the SaalDigital website the advice not to use their ICC-profiles for softproofing, because simulation of the colour of the paper isn't possible. Here is the link to the according site: https://www.saal-digital.de/support/article/softproof-in-affinity-photo/#sb (Maybee you have to sroll to the top of the site.) Will this be supported in future versions? Best regards, Paul
  2. Photo 1.10.5 on Windows. Softproofing a document with absolute colorimetric rendering intent gives wrong results. I have a cmyk document I softproof for iso newspaper output. The ISO newspaper ICC is known to have a strong yellowish, orange whitepoint. But the softproof in APhoto does not shows this in whites. And the color itself gets a severe hue and lumance shift, which should not be there. Cross checked with APublisher; it's wrong there as well. Cross checked with Krita. There everything works as expected. User error or bug? cmyk.afphoto ISOnewspaper26v4.icc
  3. What is the purpose of the add preset button in the soft proof adjustment layer box? I though it might be to create a shortcut in the Proof Profile list but not so.
  4. Hello, softproofing over a master page does not seem to work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but if I put the master page with the softproofing profile on the top level, it won't be accepted.
  5. Hello, i have download a ICC Softproof File form the website https://www.saal-digital.de and install them unter Settings - Color. Now I create a new adujstment mask an select then "Softproof", but the Menu is empty. How could I use the installed Profile in the Softproof area ?
  6. I just upgraded macOS from 10.12.6 to 10.13.6. Since then I haven't used Affinity Photo. Today, I discovered that the printer profiles for my Canon PRO-1000 no longer appear in the list that the Softproof adjustment layer displays. They do appears in the usual macOS print dialog, and I see them in /Library/Printers/Canon/BJPrinter/Resources/ICCProfiles/PRO1000series.canonicc/Contents/Resources. Where is Softproof expecting those profiles? If where they are, why am I not seeing them in the Softproof dropdown?
  7. Hello, I would like in the Softproof always the same preset profile is immediately applied (e.g., sRGB IEC61966). It is annoying with each picture again and again the profile search and adjust. If this possibility already exists, I ask for a tip. Greeting Dieter
  8. I have a 27" iMac and have calibrated my screen using a ColorMunki Display. I'm using the latest released version of Affinity Photo. I recently printed out some pictures (exported as JPEG from AP - File -> Export...) at my local Costco and got a batch of unusable prints - pictures were less saturated, cooler temperature and much darker - lots of crushed blacks - than what I expected. I understand that a picture on the monitor and in print are going to be different, but this difference was more than that. I got the ICC profile for their printer and tried to use the softproof adjustment layer to see how the picture looked on screen compared to the print out. There was a noticeable change when I selected the correct ICC profile in the window, but not at all close to the printout. This option will not allow me to make a decision to print or not based on the way it works right now. Next, I used "Document -> Apply ICC..." to load the same ICC file (softproof layer deleted) and this made the display match the printout very, very closely. Not quite bang on, but enough for me to know I was in the vicinity of what I'd see when printing out. My question is this - what is the difference between Apply ICC and Softproof "adjustment" layer? Should the Softproof adjustment layer allow me to work, say in sRGB, and then toggle it on and off to mimic applying ICC to the document?
