  1. Yes, I know, Not a biggie. Just one for when you're sitting around, wondering what to do I was just monkeying around, playing with stuff to see what it did, when this turned up (in other words I've no idea how to reproduce it -- sorry). Sliding the sliders up and down made the blue line move, but not as they should. Only the size and flow controls were affected. The brush in question, btw, is Spray Paints, Brush 5. Edit: Having said that, I closed down and restarted AP and that brush still displayed the same wayward behaviour. Maybe because it's Tuesday and parliament is having a meaningful vote (again) about Brexit at seven. I'm using the latest beta. Extra edit: Ooh! It happens in 1.6 too!
  2. Hello People Hello Dev's and Team Well today i'll make it simple for this amazing product we love. I would suggest a new Special Filter to be developed and implemented on Affinity Photo. The Skin Tone Live filter This Special filter should take care of helping the user to process skin tone adjustment in a Pro way and with ease of use. it should come with a tonal range picking tool that allow to pick and a set the initial/reference point/color range we would like to apply into areas we wish to correct. The filters should be Live and Non Destructive allowing a anytime tuning. The same filter should also include slider that will help us achieve things like Smoothing etc... like existing Filters is should have a Mask in it so we can paint the adjustment on specific areas we think we need to correct. let's say i want to make a model skin uniform, i would select the skin color Filter, use its picking/tonal range selection tool and click on the area that i think is the good/best tonal reference point, once i get that point it becomes what i will paint using brush tool in areas i think should be corrected, then i paint into areas i want to uniform to see them updated with selected tonal range and from the same Filter i should also the able to slide left or right (starting from center) to smooth or sharpen the applied skin tone. This should help us spend less time working on model/portrait skin tone but gain great results. if others can learn from us then we too can learn from them but make it 1000 times better than how it offered/presented actually. That was my suggestion for Affinity Photo. Blessings !
  3. This is weird. Did not test out at other places where the slider is used for the width of a stroke. Look at the video and try yourself if you are able to move the slider to value 0. After all the value IS 0, but this is irritating. textframe-stroke.mp4
  4. If in the color pane in tint slider view a tint color becomes added as swatch – than the sliders & values of that swatch don't show its real value but the value of the former 100% tint. Or shorter: sliders ignore tints, the tint slider excepted. In any slider type / color system. For instance: 50% tint of 100 C + 50 Y shows in the sliders 100 C + 50 Y, whereas its real values are 50 C + 25 Y. That means you can't know for shure the values of a swatch which got created as tint. Neither its name nor its slider values appear as realiable. Related issues: • if you hit the swatch name and, in the pop-up window, hit the pipette symbol or the tiny color circle besides the sliders pulldown menu – than the color changes to the sliders values and the created tint is lost and overwritten by the 100% of the former color. • if you define the origin color as global color the dependency gets lost as soon you create a tint: Changing the origin color does not affect its child, the tint. A tint of a color, even of a global, appears not to be related to its mother.
  5. Hi! I found unusable slider ranges in macro dialogs. I've got frequency separation and Gaussian blur as (combined) interactive steps in one macro. The sliders in the dialog box are barely usable. I usually need to vary the values between 0 and 20, which is only a tiny bit of range at the left edge. A slider movement of 1 screen pixel causes a change of about '6 px' in the radius, but high accuracy (in a .x pixel range) is mandatory. The range of the high pass radius is 0 ... 100 px standalone, but 0 ... 1024 px in the macro dialog, the range of the Gaussian blur radius is 0 ... 100 px standalone, but 0 ... 1024 px in the macro dialog. With identical range and behavior for standalone and macro dialog use, everything would be fine. Workaround welcome, fix preferred, personal error possible. Best regards, Bernd
  6. The snapping manager, when selected from the view menu, opens and closes as expected. When the screen tolerance setting is selected, the slider becomes visible and a value can be selected by sliding the input slider. The snapping manager is then closed. The slider for the screen tolerance input stays on screen and obscures the view of whatever was on screen underneath the slider. Closing the program by clicking on the red button with the cross closes the program but the slider stays on the screen. It only goes after the program has been quit from the dock menu Screenshot 2018-09-01 23.00.41.pdf Screenshot 2018-09-01 23.00.54.pdf Screenshot 2018-09-01 23.12.31.pdf
  7. It would be great if we can get the HEX input/listing on all of the color sliders. I know it shows up on the RGB Hex setting but if I'm working in one of the other slider color spaces I need to constantly switch back to the RGB Hex to read a HEX value. It would be a great time saver. We could also have an option to have it appear or not appear on each of the color sliders in case there are people who do not need it to be shown. Cheers!
  8. Please bring back the dedicated noise slider. I searched for hours finding the noise slider until I noticed it appears when you click the opacity slider. Why does Affinity not just show two sliders? Two sliders would be so much more user friendly and easier to find and use.
  9. Hi, I think I'm running into a problem that could easily be fixed: As you can see on the screenshot I've included, the radius just is not enough, but the slider is already maxed. Many live filters like the Live Twirl have some kind of scale or radius slider. Problem is: when you work at high resolutions the maximum value just isn't enough. That's why I'd suggest you to change the way the sliders work to the way they work in Blender: You can't drag the slider beyond a reasonable value that makes sense for the tool - However you can type in the box any value you want and the program will use that value accordingly. I hope you will think about adding that behavior to the software!
  10. Please see attached video. After opening any slider's type-in menu in develop persona, i) close button doesn't work and reset the entered value the only way to get out is to select one of the preselection (9, 25, 50...) ii) tapping anywhere outside the slider's type-in menu but within the studio hides the panel e.g. clicking on the clarity label hides the panel iPad Pro 9.7", iOS Public Beta 7, Photo beta v1.6.5.59 24827172-9EC7-4F14-AE6A-B00BDB61D78D.MP4
  11. I've noticed some inconsistent behavior when changing parameter values from the keyboard compared to editing them with the slider. I've found this to be the case for Effects, but not for the Adjustments. When the slider is used, the canvas is instantly updated to reflect the chosen parameter values. However, sometimes I want to use the keyboard hotkeys CTRL or SHIFT + ARROW UP or DOWN as it gives a finer grained control in some situations. In this case the canvas is not updated right away until I leave the edit control.
  12. Hi Affinity team, just a small bug in the Tone mapping persona on v.1.5.1.54 Trial (Win): If (after importing a HDR image and switching to the Tone mapping persona) you set the brightness to, lets say, 25, then undo this (Ctrl+Z or via the protocol bar) and then redo the step, the slider will show "-25" (instead of 25), although the image appears correct. Affinity will always negate the selected brightness value after undo/redo. Seems this is the only affected slider. It doesn't do this in the Develop persona either. Matthias.
  13. Hi, I like to correct single colors with "Tonwertkorrektur", by choosing RGB and then one single color. After then, if I move any slider, the button jumps back to Master. (I use Win 10, vers. 1607). Many thanks for help or information Manfred
  14. I recorded a macro, which modifies the opacity of layers in 2 different steps like so: (FADE MACRO) -duplicate layer -opacity 50% (Shows Settings icon > Opacity) -duplicate layer -opacity 20% (Shows Settings icon > Opacity) I enabled the Eye Setting to show the sliders when running (What's the proper name for that eye BTW?) I run it and it works as intended, I get a dialog with 2 sliders and Opacity 1 and Opacity 2, which allow me to preview the macro. Here comes the bug: I record a macro containing the previous "FADE MACRO" like so: (COMPOSITE MACRO) -duplicate layer -apply filter (Shows Settings icon > "Filter") -make composite -Run "FADE MACRO" (Shows Settings icon > Opacity 1, Opacity 2) First, when doing this, the Eyes I activated on "FADE MACRO" get deactivated, so I go into the settings icon to activate them again, and change the each slider to its descriptive name, but BOTH sliders get the same name, the still act independently on the preview, meaning they don't change the same opacity but they can't have different names. It doesn't matter which I click to edit, all sliders of the same property (in this case opacity) get the same name.
  15. I'd really like to have the feature that when you double click on a slider bar, it defaults back to the 'default' value. A lot of times this is just at the 0 value position. Lightroom and some other editing software have this feature, and I really like it.
  16. I'm trying to figure out how to adjust sliders. As far as I can tell the primary way is to click and drag, this approach is fast but very crude (very hard to make detailed adjustments. Alternatively you can enter a value manually or click on the up/down arrows (precise but very slow to do). AfterShot Pro has a fantastic feature in that you just hover over the slider and then use your mouse scroll wheel to adjust. This is extremely fast and precise. It's a "killer feature". Is there some way to enable this in Affinity Photo? Am I missing something in Affinity?

    HSL sliders broken

Hi, HSL option in colour palette seems to be broken? There is a Hue box, which is getting in the way of the S and L sliders, making HSL unusable right now, see attach pic... Thanks! Wayne
  18. Especially with the stroke width slider I would like to constrain the selection to whole numbers, or predefined common values. I guess I am used to Xara where it is a drop-down offering None, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 etc. At present I drag and end up with a value like 1.3 which I then have to modify by hand (typing). Perhaps constraining to whole numbers if pressing Shift while dragging? Or do it the opposite way around (like the Zoom slider in Navigator Panel) where there are fixed stops that the slider snaps to, but holding Alt disables the snapping?
  19. I would like to have some control over how much noise I apply to an object. Currently I move the slider (which should be in the normal color panel as well, not just in the toolbar) as far as I want. But I don't know that value. If I have an other object and want to apply the same amount of noise, I have to move the noise slider to the point I think it was on the other object. Adding an actual number next to the slider would make it easier. I could enter a number (amount of noise), and I could copy that number and apply that exact same amount of noise to another object.
  20. I appreciate the new option in Crop to Darken the Border. However, it would be even better if there was a slider to control the amount of darkening. I find the darkened but still very visible border distracting. I don't need to see what's being removed; I just want to see what I'll have left...against a black background. A slider would accommodate those like me and those who need, or just prefer, to see exactly what they are excluding.

    Top Point Slider

The Top Point slider on the triangle tool doesn't allow you to click on a location to move the control knob. When you click anywhere on the slider, the knob just snaps back to the position it was in. Would be nice to just click and have the control knob jump to that location and stay. Thoughts guys??? -Inky
  22. Hi there, I hope you can help me out to understand this. Apparently, for some reason, my code on the top bar of the RGB colours have more digits than usual. Whenever I double click on the colour panel on top of the layers' panel, the code appears correct, but as you can see on the image attached, on the other place I am seeing too many digits.... If I try to copy a normal 6 digits RGB hex number on there, it transforms it to a different code and colour. Thank you.
  23. I'm using AP with RAW files from Canon & Nikon. Exposure correction range is limited to either -2 or +2 stops only. Forum user MBd offered a work-around but it would be great to have a range like -5 or -6 to +5 or +6 stops like Lightroom or Capture One offer. This would simplify my life a lot.
  24. Why is the sliders restricted to 100px while it's still possible to go WAY beyond this?? I use much greater values than 100 px and each time I have to type in the value. Please make the slider go where no man has ever been... or at least 1000 px. Thanks!
