  1. I'm zoomed into an object, trying to outline it w/the magnetic lasso and having problems. 1) How do I scroll the page in order to advance my edge selection around the object w/o deselecting what I've done or having the mag. lasso dutifully create a path out to the scroll bars and back? 2) Is there any sensitivity setting for the mag. lasso's edge detection? Not infrequently, it selects the wrong edge no matter how carefully I try to trace the edge. 3) When the lasso does a bad job of finding the correct edge, how does one sequentially delete mistaken anchor points, to back-up one or more anchor points, and give it another chance to find the correct edge? I originally tried to use the Flood Select tool but I just couldn't adjust it to confine itself the area outside the object w/o picking up all sorts of random areas inside the object. Photo crashing on iPad Pro

Hello, when I scroll through the items in the adjustment studio photo crashes. It just started today after about a month. I noticed some of the adjustment choices are missing. It happens with old and new files. I am using a new iPad Pro 11 Photo release number 1.6.12.86 Can I download the app from App Store to re-install? Dave
  3. When scrolling up down, the grid scrolls too? See screenshots
  4. I'm zoomed in to do a magnetic pixel selection. When I reach the edge of the window, I want to scroll the screen to continue the selection path but whatever I do to scroll the screen causes the selection to drop. The only thing that "seems" to work is the navigator panel. Are there any other ways move around the view of my zoomed object to complete the selection? Wouldn't "pushing" against the edge of the window with cursor/tool would be an intuitive way to do this? Thanks, lettergothic
  5. Hi Issue: When I'm scrolling through the paragraph tab in the right panel, I find that my scrolling ends up changing the values for the settings. So for example, I'll be scrolling through the paragraph tab trying to get to the top and I end up changing the value for "desired spacing" to 5%. Sometimes I don't even realised what I've changed since I'm scrolling automatically expecting it to go up but it isn't and I don't know how much I've changed the value by. This is pretty annoying and I can see it being a problem for others. Solution: We should have to select the section to adjust, then adjusting by scrolling is fine. For example if I want to adjust "desired spacing" I would click on the value container and then scroll rather than having it change by just hovering the cursor over the container. FYI: I'm using the smooth scroll function on my logitech mouse, so the scrolls aren't discrete and it can take a while to realise its still scrolling when it has reached the top

    No scroll bar on layers

When I'm adding adjustment layers on Surface Pro, they disappear below the 'event horizon' and I can't get to them other than by jiggling around with panels. In other words, I need a scroll but there isn't one there. See attached clip.
  7. So I'm using a school Mac laptop for Affinity Pro, and the screen is small so a few of the tools won't show up on the left hand side, including the one that I need to use right now which is text. All of the other bars on the screen can scroll, the picture, the tools on the right side, but the tools on the left hand side won't scroll. I can't drag it down any further and it's actually starting to piss me off. Any help from someone would be really appreciated, thanks.

    Affinity Designer - Scrolling Grids?

I was just making a video to help out another Affinity Designer user and noticed the grid moved when I zoomed in and out, at first I thought the rectangle was moving so I zoomed out and the rectangle is static, see video attached, I assume grids aren't supposed to move so is this a bug? High Seirra 10.13.3 - Affinity Designer 1.6.0
  9. Dear Affinity Team, I recently started using Affinity Designer for doing graphic design work. Unfortunately, I have encountered a bug making it challenging to complete my work. Issue: (please see attached 30 second videos) Affinity Designer will randomly start scrolling infinitely in one direction in the middle of working on my projects. Steps to reproduce: Exact steps are unknown. Seems to happen within about 30 mins of using Affinity Designer for me though, and it has happened every time I've launched Affinity Designer in the past two weeks. How I've tried to fix it: - Reinstalled macOS and Affinity Designer - Rebooted Mac - Reset NVRAM Still no luck. The only way to get the scrolling to stop has been to close my current document and re-open it. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue. 10. When I scroll down in a long list of layers to activate/deactivate some other layer it scrolls back up to the current highlighted/selected one. Unfortunately that is really annoying when I want to change background layers while I edit the front layer. So I have to scroll down again to find that layer again. So may I ask you to fix this bug that it doesn't scroll back? Thanks a lot!
  11. It's not possible to scroll with the mousewheel in the typography control box (shown below). There are certain zones that don't intercept the mouse scroll event, letting the window scroll very briefly, but as soon as a checkbox or radio button comes under the cursor, it appears that those controls intercept the scroll events and don't bubble them up to the parent scroll panel, stopping the scrolling.
  12. Hello, I'm using a Magic Mouse in Affinity Photo on a MacBook Pro and cannot figure out how to get scrolling while hovering over, or clicking into, a value adjacent a slider to work. Two finger scrolling on the trackpad doesn't change the value either, however using a basic Microsoft scroll wheel mouse does! General scrolling elsewhere in the Studio panels and in the document view work as expected, just not in changing values. Am I missing something?
  13. In some applications i use, i can click up and down buttons to go through all of the LUTs in a particular directory while previewing applying each over your image. This would be epic.
  14. Hello, I am a beginner. I am trying to use the freehand selection tool on a zoomed image and when I scroll using command scroll the nodes do not move with the image. I have watched others do this in tutorials effortlessly but I can't figure it out. Thanks! Shawna

    instant crash when scrolling

hello, after i finally bough your app for windows, i started to mess around with the grace ui kit offered for free, here what happened as a bug seem to persist: i opened up multi-documents from the folder UI Sheets which contain 11 files, i zoomed in on the file "ecommerce" with the zoom tool, without changing the tool, i scrolled up or down with the middle button mouse which it's a little wheel. it immediately crashed up. just like that... you can see the screenshot i took. i hope that would help you out. good luck!
  16. Hi, if I'm working with designs that have a lot of layers it's sometimes quite hard to identify the active layer in the layers list as it may not be in view and will thus require scrolling up and down before you can find the highlight. Is there a way to quickly jump to the highlight in the layer list, or (even better) some sort of option that allows the active one to be scrolled into in view? I accept the latter might not work when working with multiple selections, but when creating this would be quite handy because you don't always have to mine the relevant layer out of a long list.. Cheers!
  17. I am using Affinity Designer 1.5 and I've been having a bug recently where when using my Magic Mouse on some of the sliders, the sliders will start to jump around. For example I was using the Angle tool in the Effects tab and all of a sudden it jumped to the offset slider and started to mess that up. There is also another bug where the document/ art boards starts scrolling in a direction until I click the mouse again. I've tried to see that if it's just the mouse or my system, but this is only happening in Affinity. Another bug was that when choosing a font, it automatically chooses the font (with the check mark) whereas before the checkmark wouldn't show up until clicked.
  18. When I move an object with a mouse and hit the boundaries of my viewport, AD starts scrolling the canvas underneath so that I can reach any part of my canvas without having to zoom out. It does not do this with objects moved by keyboard arrows - is there a setting where I can change this?
  19. Drag scrolling is extremely slow, especially at high zoom levels. E.g. I want to extend the width of a shape beyond the right visible edge of the document, so I click drag the center-right drag handle of the object with the mouse and drag to the right. Once I hit the right edge of the art board view drag scrolling starts, but this is excruciatingly slow at high zoom levels to the extent where it would take several seconds to scroll hundreds of points. In fact it's so slow it's barely feasible, so I often end up zooming out several levels to resize and then zoom in again, which interrupts my editing context. Slow drag scrolling doesn't seem to be related to poor drawing performance as drawing and scrolling speed is otherwise very good, so I suspect this is more likely related to the acceleration algorithm used. Please tweak this algorithm to improve responsiveness during drag scrolling.
