  1. In this video I share with you how to fix RTL on Affinity Designer but its work Publisher and Photo as well, Free Fix Download Link: https://leomoon.com/downloads/desktop-apps/leomoon-parsinegar/ Enjoy!
  2. WE NEED RIGHT TO LEFT PLEASE!!! Waiting for years now and still no native solution. Who need RTL please comment down to reach dev team as soon as possible. I have V1 and V2 and not working on both Thanks Please note we dont need 3th party apps or softwares. we need a native fix which can be done easly by a short code that reverse letters.
  3. hi there any updates about rtl typing direction? are you going to work on that any time soon? thx!
  4. Does v2 support rtl? If not teher is any chance to get it in future updates??
  5. I'm a Hebrew speaker, and Affinity softwares aren't supporting right-to-left languages, which means I have to write everything backward. Lately, I've heard about a software called "RTL Fixer", which suppose to help me write normally in my language in Affinity. The problem is there is no "about" page or any information about the developer, and even not a trial version. Does anyone here uses RTL Fixer and can tell me about the software? Is it good, is it works, is it safe, is it trustable? Thanks! https://rtlfixer.com/
  6. After years of begging, and multiple posts and negatives reviews, Serif insists on denying support for Arabic/Hebrew writing. Every release you tell me that the feature is coming, and it is on your roadmap. Kindly, I would like to ask for a refund for my V2 purchases as I am reaching a dead-end with this. I am sticking to Adobe Suite even though it is not free just to use this writing. Thank you for continuous efforts to disappointment. Gmail - Arabic and RTL Support.pdf
  7. Hello Affinity Community, We hope you kindly accept this suggestion and request, As you know, Affinity has a lot of impact on the people in the Middle East area. Accordingly, It would be quite nice to support the RTL writing direction for languages such as Arabic, Hebrew and Persian. Kind Regards, https://twitter.com/Artist_kw3,D/status/1356719251256709120?cd]s=20 tweet conversation
  8. I'm working on 76 page APub document for export to PDF. It takes longer to estimate the export size as it does to export it, so there is not much point in me waiting to get an estimate. Actual figures measured with a stop watch: Time to estimate size: 1 minute 30 seconds. Time to export: 1 minute 28 seconds. The file size is 'too big', which is a known issue with a lot of PDF exports from APub. I've tried for over an hour to get the size down and failed. An IDML file was provided to me, and a sample PDF from InDesign. That is 18MB and looks pretty good to me. A 'good' export from APub, no matter how I play around with the settings, is about 130MB. I have tried about a dozen different things - colour formats, downsampling images. The only way I can get a quick export and small file size is if I use the (digital - small size) preset, but then the images are ugly. The file size is 'too small' at about 5.5MB, so it is clear there that a lot of image data is being discarded. For those interested, this document has about 130 or so words of RTL text. This comes in broken, as expected. But 'typing' 130 words using the glyph browser is actually possible. It is time consuming, but not beyond my tolerance. The result is actually very usable. The RTL text is searchable in a PDF, the quality is very acceptable. I could not find a glyph for لّ (ل +‌ّ [shadda]) as seen in علّامه. Perhaps it is there, but I haven't found it so far.

  10. I have recently shifted from Adobe to Affinity. Most of my work is related to Designer, I use Photo occasionally. I’m very satisfied with it overall. I can do pretty much everything on Affinity which I could do on Adobe. But I have noticed that there are some very basic tools which are missing in Affinity apps. Here, I’m making a list of those tools. My request to Affinity decision makers & developer team is that, please include these tools in Affinity 2.0 as designers are desperately waiting see these in Affinity (Most of them are just related to Designer but some are missing in Photo too): Freeform Gradients Gradient Mesh Tool Vector/Pattern Fill Shape Builder Tool Live Tracing Perspective Distort/Free Transform RTL Languages Support Blend Shapes Inefficient Boolean Operations 3D Text Tool Simplify Curves Live Mesh Warp Filter
  11. Hi! I'm a Hebrew speaker, so I can't actually write in my language in Affinity softwares. Does anyone here use the software called RTL Fixer and can reccomend/disreccomend? Is the software trustable? Thanks
  12. I am in the middle of putting together a 600 page book that is setup RTL. In the document settings I do have it as "Start on the Right". When I produce the PDF, I choose the option "All Pages" in the Area section, however when it comes to printing, it is all messed up and it seems to have printed the document as LTR with RTL contents, so the whole book is incorrect and pages are all over the place. Any ideas? This is a major issue for me as I need to produce 26 more and need to get to the bottom of this before I send it off to the printers. Cheers.
  13. Apologies if this has been mentioned before but is there no way Serif can adopt the Microsoft Text Engine? It seems to amazing handle RTL and non-Latin based fonts. It even makes a mockery of Photoshop's where you have to specify. So is this something that is not compatible with Serif?
  14. Hello. I recently got the rest of Affinity suite which means Affinity Publisher and Affinity Designer. Than I realized that a very basic but niche feature is missing. Right-To-Left support. Well I can work around this by throwing my text at Krita export as a high res TIFF than throw it anything Affinity. This works fine for small bits of text but if you are working with something like an article, it's a very annoying issue. Shout outs to the absolute hero on https://rtlfixer.com for creating a fix for it sadly this isn't a viable option for me since this program is not available for purchase in anywhere usable for me. In some Adobe stuff you can change the text engine to support it. In Krita it just there by default. Sadly that is not an option on Affinity. I know RTL isn't as main stream but a good chunk of people still use it. Please consider adding it to the suite. If you want to recommend me some softwares to basically cheat my way threw this problem keep in mind that any paid thing that isn't on steam or Microsoft store is absolutly useless to me and anything on MAC is even more useless. Still this isn't about finding a solution, this is a request for a basic feature.
  15. Hello, I just tried the Trial, it makes me sad that such a good App has no RTL support at all and it is not even in the Roadmap... So I guess no RTL until 2017... This feature is really simple, letting us only type in RTL (no need for RTL UI or anything) I think it can be done in a few days at most. Going back to Photoshop with sadness until you have RTL support, I really liked your app for being fast and clean, Whish your team the best and success.
  16. ParsiNegar is the most complete freeware to type Persian and Arabic anywhere. This applications comes with a Unicode Editor. With ParsiNegar’s Unicode Editor you can type anywhere that Persian is not supported. Windows & Mac https://leomoon.com/downloads/desktop-apps/leomoon-parsinegar/
  17. First of all, thank you for making this amazing product. I almost instantly decided to leave Adobe's products after I used Affinity Designer. One thing I used to find annoying with Photoshop/Illustrator is lack of support for writing text in RTL languages like Arabic or Farsi. It is available only in ME editions which are hard to find and sometimes outdated. Right now, I couldn't get RTL text writing in Arabic to work with Affinity Designer, and it would be great if this feature was implemented. Thanks,
  18. Hello, I’m kinda new to the app, and I’m very excited to learn to use it! I think it’s one of the strongest apps for design on the iPad. However, I was really bummed to find out that the app doesn’t support the Arabic language. By far, I think this is the only upper hand that adobe illustrator has over affinity designer. I think affinity can reach a wider audience if they did support this feature. For the time being, I have to go on Vectornator to type my text, save it as a SVG and then insert it into affinity. It makes editing the text just a pain in the bum bum. I’ve seen a handful of people requesting that feature so I thought I would too. Maybe my contribution to increase the demand for this feature would finally make it happen. Thanks a lot.
  19. Using an online "Arabic" PS keyboard does not work with some Farsi fonts as it fails to join them correctly and when imported into APUB, it is incorrect and a mess. This applies to the trio. Please prioritise native RTL support.
  20. Hi guys, I am Mohamad from Egypt, I start using affinity softwares 2 months ago and I really appreciate these products so I bought a license for affinity designer and planning to buy photo and publisher also as I bought online courses for these products to be my assets as a designer but I discovered a really big problem no RTL support !!! and when checked this issue I got posts and requests more than years ago and till now it seems there is no clear plan or estimated time to support this important issue the Arabic is the official language in my country and I can not work without it, it is not possible so please confirm clearly what is your plan or say it Clearly go to adobe products you will not get your requirement here Thank you
  21. Hi there! I’m very satisfied with my experience with Affinity products on iPad, yet there is one major issue bothers me and keep me hesitated when thinking to use Photo or Designer, it’s that both of them doesn’t provide a decent support for Arabic language, the letters is reversed and not connected to each other. As an Arab user, I need the language to be fixed for me to get rid of all other apps I use to write Arabic texts and transform it to PNG then to Affinity Photo and Designer, I can’t even recommend Affinity apps for my college designers because of this exact issue! I kept waiting for one of the updates to fix this issue, yet there is nothing, no change, please fix the Arabic language so Arab users can finally ditch other apps and relay completely on Affinity products. Thank you in advance for creating such an incredible software experience, it’s really a great pleasure to have it!

  23. As someone who has used Photoshop extensively and had been complaining about its clunkiness, Affinity Photo (And Designer no less) was a welcomed breath of fresh air. I have been a vocal supporter of the Adobe To Affinity migration ever since I started using product. It runs like butter. It feels like made by designers as advertised. However, one can't help but feel an overwhelming disappointment, if not a bit of humiliation when talking about Affinity to other designers when they pop the question "does it support Right To Left Languages." I live in the UAE; a majority of the designers and artists that work here are Indians, many of whom barely speak a scrab of Arabic, let alone know how to read the language, and yet their biggest concern is being able to go RTL because the market demands it and its kind of awkward when speaking to a client why a simple copy/paste procedure doesn't always work for them When I expanded my work to FNB menu designs, that's when it hit me hard the most. The amount of time spent to implement these insane work arounds just to get arabic written properly on an AF file made me see their point. Any designer worth his salt will know that his main job is to communicate a message; if I'm indeed speaking to designers involved in developing this product, I'll begin my extending my utmost respect to a fine product you guys have going. But I can't help but ask: if we're here to communicate messages through visuals, how can something as crucial as Right-To-Left language support be placed so far down the priority list?! Arabs amount to almost 386 million and the language stands in the top 5 most spoken in the world. This goes without mentioning Hebrew/Cyrillic/Azeri... I mean no disrespect, but I just needed to convey my frustration. I won't pretend to understand how hard development is.
