  1. Hi there, i created a template for a magazine in DIN A5, mainly aimed at beginners. Experts change things like colorspace, bleed,.... All the images you see there are from unsplash, pexels and pixabay and also are only in 72dpi in that, so replacethem I also got a german and english version so the naming of textstyles and other things make sense for non-german speakers. Fonts necessary (both free): https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/fira-sans https://www.freefonts.io/akrobat-font-free-download/ have fun with it and tell me if you got any ideas improvements, i don´t do templates very often.:) I put the template under CC0, so yeah have fun with it. 4. Hey everyone, slowly but surely I'm losing my mind over here, haha. I think I've rebuild this master page at least three times by now, but every time I load images, some of them are mirrored. What's even more irritating: If I apply the same master page again, they get mirrored again. Now … what is going on here? Can someone please explain? Applying_Master_changes_single_frame_orientation.mov Even if the frame itself were mirrored (unfortunately this is not indicated anywhere, or is it?), it shouldn't be mirrored every time the master page is re-applied, at least from my understanding. I come accross this issue on almost (?) all the other master pages that use frames, hence why the master pages name ends with a 2. I tried to fix it several times now and feel like I’m running in circles, setting up the master pages from scrap over and over again. Is this a known bug? Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
  5. Affinity Online Help Hello all, we're happy to be able to offer you an online version of the in-app help! Access Designer, Photo & Publisher Help here: https://affinity.help Here are some of the additional features we're able to implement as a result of having proper browser support: Dynamic language switching: The help will determine your language and (if it's available) serve you a localised copy of the help. If you prefer to read in another language, however, you'll find a combo box at the bottom left which will enable you to change languages—and stay on the page you're currently reading. Print: Sounds simple, but with full browser support we can now implement printing of the topic pages. The print icon in the bottom left will give you a nicely formatted printout of the current topic. Share: Clicking the clipboard icon will copy the current topic's URL to your clipboard, which means you can easily point other people towards topics that may help them. Responsive: The help was responsive anyway, including off-canvas menu functionality so you could collapse the window and still read a topic, but this is taken further in this version of the help. The help is formatted nicely and usable even on a 4" iPhone SE screen. Search: we've implemented our own bespoke search for the online help which is fast and accurate. Access it via the tab system along the top left. Favourites: you can add topics to your favourites list to easily access them during future browser sessions. Simply click the + (plus) icon next to the "Favourites" tab to add the current topic. With this online version you'll be able to print out topics and view them on your tablets/phones, which are two of the most common requests when it comes to help feedback. As always, if you have any feedback or find any issues with this online version, please let us know! Hope you find it useful.
  6. Hello my suggestion is for Photo to work with clipboards I also miss this feature. Another interesting feature is the intelligent object that helps in non-destructive editing, especially in the other personas of Photo. Another interesting feature to be implemented is a text distortion tool. In the selection part, a tool that allows selecting the main subject of an image is interesting. Another suggestion is to create your own font manager in a way that integrates with the affinity suite. I hope you can be helping with these suggestions, thanks in advance for being able to give feedback, The Affinity suite is incredible with tools that work in a precise way providing quality, congratulations to the entire team of developers.

  8. In the latest Publisher beta I noticed that there is a new menu item in the Layer menu called “Convert to Image Resource”. What is an “Image Resource”, what can I make into one, and why might I want to do so? I can’t seem to find anything in the Help about this, but I might be looking in the wrong places.
  9. Hey everyone! When opening Document, Resource Manager, selecting all files and setting them to linked, my document will still be at 109,3MB file size. In fact, before linking the unlinked images, the file had 108MB. So linking even increases file size by a small amount. The Resource Manager will show them as linked and Publisher will report errors when renaming a file. It just doesn't decrease file size. And even when Publisher cannot fint a file, it is still being displayed, instead of an error frame, which I would expect. Is this a known issue? It seems it shouldn't be since there is a tutorial on the website for this. I am using High Sierra. Best wishes, Shu
  10. I have made a number of posts in this Tutorials forum on how to do various things, mainly involving Distort > Equations. Many have also provided a macro that executes the operation. I have realized more recently that posts such as these, which are mainly presenting a macro would better fit in the Resources forum. I would welcome some guidance from moderators as to choosing the appropriate forum. My feeling is that a post that is mainly explaining a procedure, a 'how to' is best as a Tutorial, whereas a post presenting a finished product (a macro) is best as a Resource. There could be appropriate cross-referencing between the two if needs be. Just to blur the issue, I note that the Tutorials forum often has posts which are asking for 'how to' explanations, which should perhaps belong in the Questions forum. Perhaps the mods would include a sticky Guidelines for Tutrials at the top of the forum? John
  11. I heard about this font on a podcast last night and thought some people might find this interesting and/or useful. It looks weird but was specifically designed to look like it does for various reasons. 13. I wanted a base palette that I could use on my illustrations, with a range of shades, and highlights/shadows for each. So I made my own: It's a good starting point for illustrations, icons & UI work. There's more than 100 swatches, nicely organized. Comes in several formats, of course .afpalette included.
