  1. Hello, I love painting digitaly. AffinityPhoto is AWESOME alternative to photoshop for us - digital artists. The only feature we need now is built-in screen recording/stroke recording. There are tons of artists heading towards ipad apps (procreate/artstudio pro) JUST for that feature. You can say, that we can use 3rd party screen capture program but this is simply not the case. In procreate there is STROKE recorording - that means, if you took 30 min break during the painting - it won't be recorded. In procreate 10 hours of painting is compressed to like 10 mins because of that. The process of painting and posting video on yt/ig is so much easier because of that. Painting in affinity photo means that i have to record 10 hours of video, go through this in other program and cut out all the breaks from it. Also i have to be sure i didnt record anything that i didnt want to be recorded. Also, i think its THE BEST advertisement you can get. Procreate got popular, because people were posting their artworks with timelapses on youtube/instagram and others were curious what was the app. Beside that, this would be THE FIRST proffesional app for desktop with this kind of feature. It would be crazy easy to advertise that in artist community.
  2. It would really help speed up my workflow if it was possible to record macros on the iPad version of Affinity Photo. I'm really hoping to see this feature in the next updates.
  3. When recording a macro and I want to change layers, the attached "Select Layer" window pops up. There are various options available but I cannot use "Shift + select" to create a group. How do I get around this problem, or better still, remove the pop up altogether. For some reason the file won't upload
  4. Hi, I am trying to record Macro for creating Luminosity Mask with Affinity Photo, when I try and rename the Spare Channel to Lights 1 get an error message saying " Macro Recorder cannot record Set Spare Channel description " Lights 1". Any help in solving this would be appreciated Thanks Stuart
  5. Hey everyone! To my understanding, there seems to be a way to use Macros, but not record new ones on iPad. Is this a planned feature? Personally, most of the time, I wouldn't bother with iPad Macros if I have to set them up on macOS. Especially since I don't always have access to desktop when working on iPad. Best wishes, Shu
  6. It would appear (from my limited experiments) that macros do not allow moving between documents when recording. I can start recording, copy from one document to paste into another but as soon as i move to the second document the recording appears to stop until i return to the original document at which time it continues. Can someone tell me if this is the case or is there something I am missing? As I'm using the trial version with a view to replacing other tools this appears to be a severe limitation.
  7. Affinity Photo (Version 1.5.2) - April 27, 2017 Hello, We would like to build a Macro that includes different layers to build some sort of 3D image impressions including a separate background. Below you'll find the exact steps we've taken so far: A. MACRO PROCESSING 1) Drag and drop a .jpg image into Affinity Photo 2) Activate Macro 3) Document --> Resize Document to 560px x 395px, Units: Pixels, DPI: 450, Resample: Bilinear, Resample activated/ticked --> Resize 4) Document --> Resize Canvas --> 640px x 640px, Units: Pixels, Anchor: Center --> Resize 5) Click on image with cursor/arrow --> Document --> Flatten 6) Transform --> S: -3 Degrees 7) C&P image, switch to last layer and Transform --> S: +3 Degrees 8) Move edited image (of last/lowest layer) accordingly and enter H-Value with a Delta of -20px 9) Effects --> Gradient Overlay 10) Layer --> New Layer --> Arrange --> Move to Back 11) Choose Flood Fill Tool --> Click into empty area --> Effects --> Gradient Overlay --> Type: Radial 12) Document --> Flatten 13) Stop Recording Macro 14) Add To Library --> Enter Macro name and hit OK --> Don't save the document B. BATCH PROCESSING 1) File --> New Batch Job process and choose "Save as JPEG" While the above steps (1 – 14) work perfectly fine when doing everything manually in Affinity Photo, it doesn't so when executed via Macro. To see the difference between Manual vs. Macro refer to the ZIP-Attachment below. C. QUESTION How can we build a Macro so that the final image looks EXACTLY like the one shown under manual conditions? Thanks, Pat Macro.zip
