  2. Every single brush in Pixel Persona is too pixelated, with jagged edges. I do not want to use the Vector Brush, as I like the feel and workflow of the Pixel mode. I’m hoping to replace Procreate with this app, but these jagged brushes are not awesome. I’ve attached screenshots of the document at 100% and at Fit. I’m using an iPad, with latest software update. Anyone else experienced this?

  4. Hello! I am fairly new to Affinity Designer and Photo, but I feel that this problem isn’t due to my lack of experience. But if it is, I will be even more grateful for any expert advice and counsel comming my way. I have been using AD and AP for illustrating and I have been noticing some bugs in the raster brush response. I have experiemented with a mouse, a Huion graphics tablet, and a XP-Pen Artist 15.6 tablet. I am finding the same problems using all three when creating art with rasher brushes (especially in Affinity Photo). Today it was so bad that I was unable to much of anything. In fact, AD totally crashed on me today (I was very please that it was able to recover my work though!) With that all laid out on the table— In describing the bugs in more detail: I am experiencing a tremendous amount of lagging and choppiness when I sketch/stamp/paint (especially with bigger brushes or brushes that have been customized/specially made by third parties like DAUB or Frankentoon). Some brushes don’t even show up at all. All of the brushes are super small for some reason, though I am working in 300 dpi, I feel like I should be able to upsize my brushes without any huge problems occurring... I definitely cannot work a document that is any higher in dpi without being absolutely crippled in my sketch/stamp/painting performance. I am not having this problem as much with the eraser tool. I’m mostly noticing it with the paint and stamps brushes. Any help here will be greatly appreciated. (I can provide screenshots if requested. I felt that I wasn’t really able to convey what I’m describing in just a screenshot, but if it is helpful, let me know and I will post some.) Thank you!

  11. Hi all, Small question on brushes. In Affinity Designer we have the option to work with vector and raster brushes. We can also import brushes. I noticed that when I imported "DAUB | Comics Basic Set.afbrushes" in vector mode ("draw persona"), this set was not available, but is available in the raster mode ("pixel persona"). So, from this I conclude that *.abr or *.afbrushes are vector or raster specific. Is that a correct conclusion? Is there a possibility to use the same set of brushes in both vector and raster mode? Hope my questions are clear. O
  12. I finally worked out how to create coloured image brushes for both Vector & Raster formats in Designer. The raster brush instructions also apply to Photo too. When a member of a Face Book group I belong to, asked how to create a brush from a png image, I set about creating a video. No text or voice-over, just some nice relaxing Royalty Free music and my mouse movements. Recorded on a Windows 10 Pro system but hopefully Mac users will be able to see what actions need to be performed on their O/S. I have also included the two single brushes here with Permission from Nikki. Any comments are welcomed. 13. When drawing with a raster brush, changing the view zoom level can drastically affect the brush rendering. This means I cannot rely on pixel brushes at all, since I have no idea how they might render on export. It seems to happen particularly on corners and stroke ends. This has been an issue in several versions of Affinity Designer. With each release I get my hopes up only to have them dashed. In the attached example (showing the same stroke at different zoom levels), an exported png rendered with the flattened corner glitch.
