The difference between what I spec on my Apple Studio monitor (Mac OS 12.3.1 and Affinity Photo 1.10.5) consistently yield prints (Canon Pro-2100) about 1/3 stop overexposed. Can someone kindly help me sort out how to achieve results that jibe between my display and my printer output; i.e., what I see onscreen and in my final print?

When I print any file I need to keep the print settings embedded in it, so that in future I can print exactly the same image at the same media settings on the same paper at the same size. Photoshop embeds this information within the file, so that whatever device I print from, years hence it will remain the same. This is vital for limited edition prints and for all my client's work when they reorder prints. I cannot go back through files twenty years old and recreate this without the data being embedded. I don't think this would be difficult to achieve and I see that users of Publisher have asked for the same feature. Please may we have it so that I can stop giving money to Adobe for their overpriced, bloated cash-cow.

I’m trying to export my portraits to print through White House Custom Color but I can’t find out how to properly export my photos to meet their requirements for high quality images on my iPad. They didn’t know how to help and told me to contact you Affinty. I have attached a photo of their exporting/printing requirements. Thank you in advance!

Hello I am a huge fan of both affinity designer and photos, and own both of them! I just wanted to share some of the work that I have done using the new symbols tool in the Affinity Designer beta. When I got into sacred geometry mandala illustrations, I used smart layers inside photoshop. In the last month, I've recreated some of my past works and created new designs using the new betas. I'd love to thank all their development teams for creating such incredible and intuitive vector applications. You allow me to effortlessly create designs in Designer and quickly export them to Photos to add nice image/gradient masks and effects before submitting the final render. Here's some of the works I've created. I have them all on my Instagram as well (@garetmckinley).

I create t-shirts and prints in my spare time from doing web design. Here are a few samples of my work. My typical workflow would be: 1) Sketch my idea up or bring in photo elements into Affinity Photo to create a mock-up. 2) Refine the mock-up in Affinity Designer, since I will need to scale the design for different sizes. 3) If I need to create a halftone, unfortunately I do this in a different program, but I will bring it back into Photo to create the mask I need. If I need convert a bitmap to a vector, I just use an online converter at http://www.autotracer.org (no affiliation) and I'll bring an SVG into Designer. There are still a few things I wish the programs had, but all-in-all I love the programs. The fur on the Panda was done completely in Designer and I think that's awesome!
