Dear all, I'm compiling a magazine and I'm placing text in there delivered in Word format. Placing the text in the text frame and adjusting the typography goes well, but than I don't seem to be able to find a solution for big spaces falling in the middle of paragraphs, leaving needless empty spaces on a page (see attached screenshot for an example) As a solution I've tried to cut and paste part of the latter half of the paragraph right beneath the first half, but that doesn't work; on the contrary, part of the text disappears and it becomes a mess. I have also tried selecting the flow option "keep paragraph together" in the paragraph panel, and the result was that the whole paragraph was places on the next page leaving even a bigger empty space. Dragging the text frame down a bit to allow more text in doesn't work either, i't either too much or too few lines of text. Can you imagine how time consuming and frustrating this is? Can you help me get rid of this recurring problem for good?😬

Hi there! I am new to the Affinity universe, and I hope that someone here can answer my question. I have used the Style dropdown in Paragraph studio to create two Drop Cap paragraphs, but I am not sure how I can improve them, esp. the small details. I have attached screenshots of the paragraphs and I have marked red these annoying spaces I want to get rid of. Many thanks in advance for your guidance! Best regards from the heart of Austrian Alps! Hello! New to Affinity Publisher! I have a PDF document and imported it to Affinity. When I want to select the first paragraph to create a paragraph style, the cursor only selects the line it is on. Lines are marked as layers... each of them. I don't understand if i have to group all lines in paragraphs... the doc is 40 pages. That would be crazy! Anyone knows what's going on? I am so thankful in advance for your help! 🙏

Adobe Photoshop has an option to convert Paragraph Text to Point Text (Artistic Text) and vice versa. https://textuts.com/type-tool-in-photoshop-cs6-point-text-and-paragraph-text/ It is very useful at times. Hope to see this feature soon on Affinity Photo! 😅
