This is something I use Corel Paintshop Pro X4 for. The ability to remove JPEG Artifacts from images by first adding subtle noise and then selecting an edge preserving smooth. This removes the blocky look to highly compressed images. Interestingly the Despeckle feature did it in one step on the first Photoshop Elements app. I'd like to see this feature in Affinity Photo in the future. Maybe under an image repair persona,
Hi. Adding PaintShop Pro compatible layer blending may incentivize / remove a roadblock for those of us looking to switch from Corel's PaintShop Pro. Paintshop's default "HSL" blend modes luminosity, color, hue, and saturation (often more useful than the "Legacy" modes) are not compatible (different results) with the Affinity/Photoshop (or virtually any program's) "HSL" blend modes of the same name ... only the ones labeled Legacy are. This would help those of us locked into Paintshop.
I've been trying to replace a particular colour in an image with a different hue in Affinity Photo. I've been playing around with the 'Colour Replacement Brush' tool and the 'Selective Colour' adjustment layer, but neither of these achieves the process as simply as the 'Hue Map' in Paint Shop Pro 7. In PSP, I simply go to the 'Hue Map' option and adjust a slider (or two) based on the colour I need to change (see example screenshots). Is there an equivalent in Affinity Photo that doesn't require any selection or time-consuming brush work?
