  1. I’m having an issue with placing Olympus ORF and Nikon NEF files, not so with CR2 or Jpeg (as long as the jpeg is not from Apple Photos and wasn’t originally shot with Olympus). I tried both with version 1.7.2 as well as with beta version 1.7.2.153.If If I try to Place an ORF file from Apple Photos, it tells me it’s ready to be placed but it’s nowhere to be found, in or outside the canvas. Same happens when placing from Apple Photos an edited jpeg which has assets attached (the original ORF file). If I try an ORF file from iCloud, it doesn’t do anything, doesn’t even attempt to load. (Files open fine otherwise in a separate document, just placing is the issue.) NEF files (albeit these are old from a 3200 model work but are placed with a black thick border on top and bottom of the photo. CR2 files from an old Canon 60d and jpegs from iPhone or exported first as jpeg work just fine. I don’t believe I’m doing anything wrong, and never had an issue composting with my ORF files in previous versions. Any ideas ? Thanks. PS posting from iPad couldn’t figure out how to removed first try to upload a clip that failed. Second clip works A9AF7EA9-40BD-428A-A487-C48A7D36FC6E.MP4 94DD500D-DF5B-4484-8231-EA335DC5F551.MOV
  2. I recently updated Affinity photo to version 1.7.2. After updating, the lens correction for my Olympus 8mm f/1.8 fisheye does not appear to be doing anything. Prior to updating, the automatic lens correction would straighten out the distortion from the fisheye lens, and the image in the develop persona appeared quite different depending on whether the automatic lens correction was enabled or not. Now, the image appears almost unchanged, whether the automatic lens correction is enabled or disabled. Affinity correctly identifies the lens, but it seems like the information on how to remove the distortion has been lost from the lens profile. I have tried changing the setting in the Develop Assistant from "Apply Lens Correction" to "Take no action". After that I've tried checking the box under Lens Correction, and it changes the image almost imperceptibly. Previously, it was a quite noticeable change when I did this. Has anyone else experienced this or know what should be done to fix it? Or, alternatively, what am I doing wrong? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I'm I novice photographer, and have recently purchased Affinity (Mac). I've noticed that when I'm using the Develop Persona my histogram does not match that of my Olympus Workspace app. Despite being satisfied that there are no clipped shadows or highlights (checked at time of taking image on the camera, OMD EM1 Mk2, and in Olympus Workspace), the Affinity histogram does not seem to correspond. I've downloaded Adobe DNG converter, and converted ORC files, but I'm still having the same issue. I've also noticed that when I develop an image, the histogram seems to improve (without me making any adjustments). Can anyone help please?
  4. Hi, I have an iPad 9.7 (2018) with iOS 12.1 and Affinity Photo Version 1.6.10.83. I really like the app on the iPad, it is very easy to handle. However there is one thing that does not work as I hoped: When I try to upload a high res 50MP ORF RAW I get a blank screen. It shows me all the tools but I cannot do anything. When I click on develop, the app crashes and I end up at the home screen. I attached one ORF files plus 2 screenshots of the app. Any advise on how to proceed with this? Because the OM-D EM1MK2 is supposed to be supported with all RAW types, not just the standard resolution, I hope there is a work arround. Thanks for your help. Martin PB173224.ORF
  5. I tried out the Affinity working with raw images, in my case .orf files. I liked the control over sharpness exposure etc. The problem was when I developed the image to continue work in the regular Affinity workspace, none of the adjustments I made were saved and I had to try to recreate my work. It is annoying as I would like to move to one program work flow, but there must be something I'm doing wrong. Mac desktop, Mojave.

    Focus stacking issue

I have a new 12.9” iPad Pro. AP-1.6.5.61 I ran into 3 problems today. Camera used is an Olympus Em5 mark2. Using the hi res mode, which is generating a 64mp raw file. First issue is that if I try 4 or more files to stack, the app shuts down. 2 or 3 files are ok. Next issue was the result for a particular scene. 3 shots stacked gave me the included result. Last issue is regarding file size from jpegs. Instead of getting a 64mp file the result from stacking is only a 40mp file. This happens if I save a raw file from LR CC to camera roll, and the jpeg then sent to AP. Raw files are fine. ‘’first picture is the result from 3 stacks”
  7. Hi Team Serif & everyone on the forums. As per a request from @macfinity on Twitter, here are three files to illustrate my import issue. The RAW is 4:3 but as the screenshot shows, after import from iOS photos, the RAW is being rendered as 3:2 - only thing I can think of, is that I shoot in 3:2 and this has somehow affected the import into Affinity for iPad, but it's not happening in the photos app, so your guesses are as good as mine. Any help as to what's amiss would be appreciated, as having to boot up the MacBook is a link in the workflow I do not want in the field. Thanks in advance... M ADDITIONALLY: I'm getting the message "You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" with regards to the .orf RAW Olympus OMD EM1 Mi .orf RAW
  8. does affinity support raw files from olympus OMD EM1? i saw the list of supported cameraa and the EM5 was on there but not EM1. is this why i am unable to upload my photos?
