  1. just try to make bottles mock up
  2. Hey guys! Today I played around with the displace live filter. It’s a very nice and powerful tool to simulate folds of cloths, but also cracks in walls (like shown in one of the official tutorial videos by Affinity), grainy paper textures and so on … This is my first »tutorial« … ever. If you may call it one. So forgive me for eventual mistakes. Though It’s pretty much self-explanatory and not that hard to follow, I think. ;) Like I captioned the video: basically you want to create a separate image with a greyscale profile (at least that’s how I do it), reduced noise and texture plus a good balance between high, low and mid values. Grey fabrics work best if you want to change the colour afterwards. Maybe this helps, have fun playing around with different backgrounds! ;) Cheers Dennis
  3. Here is a quick look at using mockups within Affinity Photo and Designer. Slightly different from using PS, but still possible and a great way to display your's or a clients work. Allan https://youtu.be/aOKsS9HqsEk
  4. Hey guys, just a quick and clean Designer file: a round sticker mock-up for your … mock-upping needs. You can change almost everything and layers are named accordingly to their purpose: rotation, colour, outline. Also let me know if you need a rectangular version, so I’ll add one with the same style. Edit: Rectangular sticker added. Sticker.afdesign Cheers and have fun! MrDoodlezz
  5. Hey Affinity, I've been using both Designer & Photo since its beta and I really enjoy it. I have gained nothing but enjoyment and happiness using your software and the progress you make. My only concern about Photo is the lack of smart objects. I understand there's a few posts from last year that mention them, but I'm not sure where this feature sits on your list of things to do as I couldn't see it on either of the roadmaps. It's basically the only thing I need Photoshop for at this point. Ability to read .PSD with Smart Objects instead of flattening the file into a pixel layer. Smart Objects This would be amazing, and I know that I'm not the only person that use mockups with this feature. I tend to make my own, but sometimes it's more suitable to use an existing one, which is made using Photoshop. I understand you aren't Adobe, so I'm unsure what you can and can't do, so even if the feature works in it's own way, I would be overjoyed. Keep up the good work Affinity, Cheers, Lachlan
