I’ve noticed that there are some pages "missing" from the Photo Help (1.7 on Windows) and the Online Documentation (1.7): Get Started → Scanning Images Get Started → Gestures Develop Persona → Location Panel Sharing → Share When I say “missing” I mean that the link in the contents takes me to a blank page. I don’t know if some content is actually missing or whether these things shouldn’t have a link in the contents in the first place.

My Publisher assets panel seems to be empty, on my Mac Designer it has iOS 12 assets. - Does Publisher have assets included? - With Persona, Does it not make sense that these assets are a shared resource across all Affinity applications? Seems strange that clicking on the Designer persona, still shows no assets and I need to open up the Designer application instead. - If publisher just isn't seeing them, does anyone know where I should look in my system to find them? -Is there any location in the forum for sharing assets? Thanks
  3. Hi guys Designer and Photo create a special folder on iCould Drive, Publisher don't. For consistency reasons it would be nice if this could be added, also I am hardly utilising this feature with Designer and Photo. Cheers, Roland
  4. Hi! I'm using Designer on a Mac and I'm not sure what I did, but the little descriptions that appear when you hover over tool icons are missing. Does anyone know what I need to do to get those descriptions back? Any help would be much appreciated ... thanks in advance!
  5. I've just been trying to export 5 PDF artboards using the Export Persona and I can't find the 'include bleed' option. It was a tick box in AD 1.6 but now it is not an option in the Export Persona unless I use the File > Export option
  6. My desktop version is missing tools beyond the rectangle tool. How do I get that fixed?
  7. Hi, I have an issue regarding opening photos from the apple photos app on my computer. When I go to "Open" and select the "photos" section not all the photos show up that are in my folders in that app. 've attached a photo for reference. There should be other photos included in this view but they don't show up. Why is that? Alternatively, why can't I drag and drop them into the "place images" boxes?   8. Yesterday, as I was in mid design, my toolbar and context bar disappeared in Design (Photo is fine). I believe I may have hit the shortcut to hide it (my fingers were flying), but I'm not 100% on that. Either way, I can't get it back. I have even tried to change the shortcut, uninstall and reinstall, reset to factory defaults...nothing has worked. I've also tried to go into Customize, hoping to kick start it, but it acts like the toolbar isn't even there. I can see it (on the bottom), but nothing can be dragged to it. Help! I cannot work without that bar. #setinmyways
  9. HI, I have downloaded the test (mac) version of A D with the intention of buying the full version after playing around with it for 10 days. However, when using the test version on OSX Sierra I cant find the picture frame tool anywhere. I need to position photos within frames but am not able to do so at present. Is this function missing from the test version? If so it renders it pretty much useless....
  10. I have a document sent to me by a customer in both PDF and AI format. The document uses a font that I don't have. Even though I uncheck replace fonts, Designer doesn't outline it. It just give me a standard system font. Am I missing something? I swore Designer would do this. I'm running 1.6.5
  11. Is there a list of the features that didn't make the Public Beta but are intended to be added through the beta period and potentially before the first gold master release candidate? Obviously, not all of those items may/will make it into the Gold Master, but it might cut down on the request list in the Forum if we could see what's being worked on that is being considered for the final release candidate.
  12. I've recently started using the batch feature to speed up my workflow. I had a few recordings saved in the library but the other day I went to use one and poof...they were gone. I couldn't even see the default presets. Thinking that maybe it was a glitch I tried replicating one I'd made (I needed to edit a group of photos). Once I'd completed it I tried to save it to my library....nothing. No popup window no nothing, like the link had been cut. I tried resetting the program but it didn't resolve the issue. I dont know if I deleted the batch folder or something by accident, but regardless it's not working and I need this feature for my business. Can someone please help me??????
  13. I'm not sure if this question has been asked before but I think the answer will be interesting. Basically what I'm asking is: What functionality does Designer have that Publisher will not have? Or, to put it another way: Once I have Publisher, what will I need Designer for? There has been a lot of discussion about what functionality Publisher should have but I've not read anything about what Publisher will not - or should not - have. I only ask as Designer already does most of what a DTP application should do except for things like text flow, linked frames, and some other stuff, so I'm wondering how Designer and Publisher will be different from each other. For instance, will Publisher have the Pixel persona and pixel tools that Designer has, or will those be dropped? Or will Publisher have fewer effects or adjustments? Or will Publisher have fewer export options? Etc. Etc. If, to put it simply, "Publisher = Designer + Other Tools" then there would be no need for Designer, so I think it's a reasonable assumption to make that something will be "missing" and I was just wondering what that will be. Does anyone have any actual details? (I realise that Publisher isn't in Beta yet but I would guess that someone must have a reasonable idea about what it will/won't do so near to a release date.)
  14. Hi, I'm using Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo at my MacBook. I want to print a detail section of my paper in Affinity Designer. I noticed, that my origin print menu ist missing! As I open: "Menu" - "Print", then open up my Mac only grey simple print options of Mac to choose printer, paper size, paper orientation and so on. There is no longer the black menu for detailed print options of Affinity Designer with adjustments of "Full Paper" or "Section of paper" or "print without backgound" or "resolution" and so on. (sorry to my bad translation, I don't no the english words. hope you know what I mean.) Recently, I updated to High Sierra. Is there any correlation? Can you help me how to get the black detailed print options of Affinity Desiger back? RegardsAnit

  16. Hello, after last update I have a problem - when I create multiple artboards they're not included later in export persona as slices like it was before. There is always the main file including all artboards available and sometimes some random artboards as well (but never all of them). It happens with the different files, I attach a screenshot as a reference. Can someone please help me with this issue? Will be very grateful.

When selecting View, Customise Tools, there are only 6 tools available for selection to add to the tool bar: View, Zoom, Red Eye Removal, Blemish Removal, Overlay paint, Overlay Erase, Overlay Gradient, Crop, White Balance. For example the Clone tool is not available to add to the left tool bar. Running version 1.6.6 on High Sierra 10.13.2
  18. So when i used to start AFFINITY PHOTO and DESIGNER ( PC ), it would tell me there is an update available upon startup. Now nothing. Found out about it on facebook. How do i fix this so I get these update alerts again? Gary
  19. Hi, new user here. Would greatly appreciate an assist. Affinity Photo 1.6.0.89 I'm having some difficulty getting layers to show in exported pdfs. I've searched around. Is it just me? Exporting 3.5x2" 400dpi image with 10 layers into a pdf. Nothing is shown in the layers panel of several pdf viewers and editors. Did I overlook something simple?
  20. I think that the Layer Effect > Bevel > Highlight / Shadow > Colour selector missing eyedropperLayer Effect > Bevel > Highlight / Shadow > Colour selector is missing eyedropper. All other effects offer this function.
  21. Just updated to the new version (1.6.0.89) and my macros are gone, both the ones I downloaded and the ones I created in the previous version. I can bring up the import dialog, but it doesn't display any of the macro files I have on my drive. What should I do now? Windows 10, 64 bit
  22. I'm running Affinity Designer 1.5.5 on a Macbook OSX 10.12.6. My character and paragraph popup menus no longer work. Not sure when this started, but it is probably within the last month. I have a document with a text frame full of text. I select the frame text tool and go into the text box, and select all the text in it. Then I click on "Character" tab at upper right on bottom edge of ribbon at top of screen. Nothing happens. Same with the Paragraph tab. My paragraph is indented and I want to remove the indent, but I can't see how to do it with the character pop-up missing. I restarted my computer to see if that would make a difference, but it did not.
  23. When I open the image for developing using open with Affinity Photo i can see all of the adjustments on the panel but no ability to commit the changes and move to the main programme. I have tried Toggle views Reset Studio Hide Studio Restarting Mac If i simply open affinity and then drag the NEF file in it will skip the develop window and won't let me go back to it. Macbook Pro on Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29) Affinity Photo 1.4.3 Any ideas greatly welcomed. Ben

Hi there - after the early July update, the "Import from Photos" section changed for the better in terms of UI, but the devs seemed to have taken away the ability to access photos synced from your computer - meaning, I can ONLY choose iPad-native photos - which are extremely limited because almost no one takes pictures with tablets. Including myself. Where did the options go? I had thousands of pics to edit but now have access to maybe 20, including screenshots and selfies and other things I don't want to edit in a professional capacity. Do i really have to go through and mark all my MacOS photos as 'favorites'? Something is off here, any help would be appreciated! Best, n8r

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just a feature that's missing/not implemented, moderators please move the topic if needed. :) You can set the figure style to Oldstyle using the typography window, but the same option is not present in the paragraph/character style editor. Please see attached image, thanks!
