  1. Team, Thank you for checking out my question. I really just hope that I am blind or not selecting something correctly. But I cannot find the Transparency tool. Can some one help me. I believe the icon is suppose to be a mini wine glass, but I cannot find it.. I provided a screenshot of my icons menu... Please help. Thank you!
  2. I am wondering if people have faced this issue. The context bar is always divided by little arrows which need to be clocked to access the rest of the toolbar. Which doesn’t make sense in landscape mode especially in larger iPads. is there a way to keep the full context bar open all at once More importantly, have they solved this in v2 so that I can think of getting that version.
  3. I created a menu for an Italian Pizza restaurant. I changed the phone and address as I didn’t want to post the real ones. I used Affinity Photo for the photos and Designer for creating the icons and shapes. Lots of text, tables to work with. These are jpg and don’t look as sharp as in Publisher or as the final PDFs used to print the menus.
  4. Is it possible to add the option in a future update? I liked the icons in the previous menus in version 1.
  5. I would like to know if there is any chance to stop this from happening? This happens in all apps (photo, designer, publisher). Thanks!
  6. I noticed this on the previous version but was hoping it would be fixed on the latest version of Photo on Windows. The menus are all over the place depending on where they are on the top bar. Just wondering why they are all not flush left for all of the menus. I feel like it used to be that way and changed at some point. It kind of drives me crazy and makes it hard to be sure you have selected the correct menu. Not sure if this is happening for everyone. Thanks, Jeff See the examples below:
  7. Not impressed! This is the first time I've ever had BSOD on Win10 and Affinity Designer just did it twice trying to dock a pop out menu. Yes I'm using the latest version Yes I can recreate, it happen twice in a row doing exactly the same action. Its' only happened in the one document, but not willing to keep killing my OS just to test that. System details: Windows 10 Pro - latest updates etc. What happened? - It killed my OS and forced a restart, what did I expect... Not that! Steps to recreate: Load document Try to drag pop out tabs for character and paragraph options to be docked around the bottom right corner of the screen The menu will start to stutter, the system will lock up and then the OS will exit to the BSOD forcing a system restart. Screenshots: I could record on my phone but I'd rather not keep blue screening my system unless absolutely necessary. No unusual hardware Did it used to work? - Don't know
  8. I'm not even sure how to word my issue, I've attached videos for visuals. I've Googled to no end and still haven't fixed my problem. I've made sure I changed the resolution on my external monitor which is a Toshiba HDTV. I've changed and played with settings under preferences on my Mac. I've had Affinity Designer for a while now and this just started recently. Nothing has changed. I haven't had any reason to mess with my resolutions since setting up my TV years ago. Even if I adjust the overscan, the AD menus still go off the screen. I only seem to be having issues in Affinity Designer. Does anyone know how to fix or point me in the right direction? Thanks! 9. I know this is a tiny issue but it’s been bugging me for a while now. Normally, an ellipsis at the end of a menu item means that a dialog will appear to give the user some options for that function. However, I’ve noticed that the “Rasterise” and “Rasterise & Trim” menu options both have an ellipsis after them but they don’t seem to have a corresponding dialog (I’ve never seen one and one isn’t mentioned in the Help). Are there situations where a dialog will appear, or should the menu items have the ellipses removed? It’s a little disconcerting expecting a dialog but not getting one. It makes me think I’m not doing something right.
  11. While you are rewriting the beta versions of the Affinity Suite of applications in preparation for the next retail versions, please consider: 1. Make both the desktop version and the online version of the help files searchable by keywords and key phrases. (provide a search bar in every pane of the help menu files) 2. Produce "fuzzy search" results from any of several possible terms that might be used to search for the same help topic. (ex. A search for Typography, text, verbiage and writing might yield the same search results. or, keyboard, keyboard shortcuts and keyboard customization might yield the same results. (not that these are great examples, but hopefully, you get where I am coming from)) (This way, if a user is not certain how to phrase his/her search, they could still find what they are looking for)
  12. So far I haven't found a way to add menu items to my toolbar. I would like to add "Export", "Group", and "Ungroup". Am I just missing a way to add menu items? All I've found is "place" in my list of wants. And is there a "close all"? And can I add it to my toolbar? thanks
  13. Alt F, E should open the Export as picture dialogue, but it only works if the Alt key is released before pressing E. Alt F, then E works Alt F, E opens the Edit menu. This is not standard windows behaviour.
  14. It would be super awesome if more was made of distorting shapes. At the moment if you hoover the mouse over the protruding centre line at the top of any shape and wait, you get a little icon which is two arrows pointing in either direction, you can click and drag this to skew the shape a little bit. But they you need to keep rotating the item then turning it a bit if you want to adjust it and it can be a bit of a pain. It would be great if there was a distortion menu which allowed you to just selected pre-made angles for which your shape could distort too, so for example isometric left, isometric right, 45 degrees etc.. and if then you can add advance alteration like changing the percentage of the skew and the manually pick the direction that would be perfect! Really awesome work on the software so far I use it everyday now!
  15. There seems to be an inconsistency in the UI. The dark gray is used for all panels, but all pop-ups go to default MacOS light gray? Looks really weird...
  16. I think in Illustrator, when you select a shape tool - you can perform a key command (I think option+click) to pull up a menu for that shape tool in order to pre-define the shape you want to create. So, let's say you wanted a rounded rectangle at 100px x 100px with a 20px corner-radius, you would be able to set those properties in the options menu and then click a submit type button and it would create the shape on the artboard for you. Currently, (as far as I know) you can only create the shape by clicking and dragging the shape to whatever size on the artboard. I'm assuming there may be an options menu for at least some tools, or a feature request out there for this feature already - but just in case there isn't yet, here you are. Thanks!
