  1. Hi Guys, Im currently working on a name badges template for a company. The size in Affinity designer is 74mm x 24mm When I export to pdf and print it they are 70mm x 23. This is also when "fit" is turned off. Is there anything I need to change when exporting to pdf? could DPI have anything to do with it? srry Im a web guy and not a print guy :P Hope you can help.
  2. Hello Everyone ! I would like to know what is the easiest way to match colors on a Photo Montage/Composition in Affinity Photo without going all this crazy and too technical way. Is Serif thinking about bringing in the Color Match Live adjustment ? it is needed and may help shorten too long workflow or steps. Blessings !
  3. I’ve been having an issue with the way AF renders the colors in Canon CR2 files compared to Canon’s Digital Photo Professional. I have the tone curve turned off in the Develop Assistant and am using the Serif Labs RAW Engine. I’m using these settings to enable me to have lens correction since I’m using a Tamron lens which Canon’s DPP doesn’t support any corrections. And I can’t disable the initial tone curve in DPP which limits my dynamic range. I’ll attach screenshots of 2 images, one converted by Canon’s DPP, the other by Affinity Photo. You can see the obvious color shift, especially in the reds. When I put the eyedropper inside the zero of 750s on the side cover I get these values. DPP R=222, G=4, B=3. With AF I get R=188, G=0, B=24. I’ve tried using the Selective Color adjustment and can get the red close by setting the Red channel to Cyan=-100%, Yellow=+35% but the other colors are still off and difficult. Is there any way I can color match to the Canon DPP colors? They are accurate to real life.
  4. Hi I am new to photo-editing and I've spent a few days watching various tutorials and have played around in Affinity Photo. I am struggling though so I thought I would ask if anyone can point me in the right direction. I understand how to select diffrent things in pictures and I am familiarizing myself with layers and adjustments. I have played around with all of that stuff. So I feel like I have some small basics now. Here is what I am working on, I sell bedsheets. I have taken a few photos of some sheets on a bed which apparenlty is an intresting photo to photographic. However, I have about 20 diffrent colors. How do I properly change the color to make it very smiliar match the color ? Is this possible or do I need to photographic each diffrent set ? I've tried to select the bedsheets and I can change their colors but I can't figure out how to do matches. Say change a white set of sheets to a brown/chocolate or a red. Have it look similar ? However I'd like to learn any suggestions ? I know its probably possible given I look on websites and see they have photos of sheets/ curtains that sort of thing and they are the same picture with different coloring. Thank you very much for any advice.
  5. Hi Folks, Me again.... After a little more help again please if you would be so kind. So, have a look at the file I have attached. Look to theft and you will see an upper and lower wing. I need the lower wing curve at the furthest left tip to match the curve of the upper wing, making it more symmetrical. Also, how do i make sure that the distance between the two wings (Upper and lower) is that same distance across the full length of the wing again ensuring symmetry. Hope that makes sense and someone can help. Thanks guys Mark Door Design 2.afdesign
