  1. Ok, quite impressed by Affinty Photo so far BUT does anybody know how to hide the 'marching ants' marquee using a keyboard shortcut? I have found that Command+D makes it disappear but it doesn't make the marqee re-appear again. Annoying, as this is really useful when editing fine detail work. No, not useful, ESSENTIAL. Using 'show pixel selection' in the view menu is very slow not to mention amateur. Many thanks Carlos
  2. Hi, I'm a GIMP user who's just downloaded the beta -- v. 1.2.0.24665 -- after finding I need some CMYK support. Loving it so far! One thing I'm confused about: How do you get the Marquee Tool to expand from the center instead of from a corner? In GIMP, this is a Tool Option you can check. In Affinity I see that you can hold down command when creating a *shape* (like a circle) and it will expand from the center, but when I try this in the Marquee tool it just ignores the fact that I pressed the command key when creating the selection. (After creating the selection, Command-dragging will grab and move what's been selected. This is not what I"m interested in.) This seems like it would be a pretty standard, desirable feature, so... is it in some Preferences menu? Maybe an "Expand from Center" sub-menu checkbox that I need to find? Haven't been able to find it yet.. I've also tried Command-Option-Shift-Control clicking and haven't gotten it... Thanks! PS- As a workaround, I tried creating a shape via expand-from-center, and then using the Flood Selection Tool on the shape -- but this tool seemed to ignore my shape, i.e. I couldn't get the Flood Selection Tool to do..anything.
  3. Hi; I've noticed that I cannot make multiple selections. I mean, I use the marquee tool to select an area, then press Shift and use the marquee tool in a different area. The first selection area dissappears. This happens with any selection tool, including magic wand. Missing something? Thanks; Val
