Watched Affinity tutorial that used the Magnifier Tool at the bottom (left) of the Tools column for zooming in and out . I don't have that on my screen. How do I find it? The bottom tool on my screen is "Tear Tool" and just above that is "Pen Tool."

A request to add an option of disabling the magnifying glass for the pen tool and node tool. The magnifying glass is a nice feature when using a finger, but with the Apple Pencil it blocks the view and makes the process of editing curves harder. Thank you.

The magnifier of the eyedropper tool has a grey gradient in the lower half, which I find really distracting when trying to sample colours. It passes right through the reticle! Any chance you'd consider removing it? Thanks.

Is there a way in Affinity Photo to generate this effect: - you have a picture, e.g. of a leave, - you draw a shape, e.g. an ellipse, on top of the first picture, as a second layer (e.g. a magnifier glass) - you assign a live distortion effect to this ellipse, e.g. a wave, sphere, lense distortion etc. (the magnifier effect) - and this effect is then applied to the layers below the shape, but within the frame of the shape? You could design a magnifier glass on top of the leave picture, and while moving this glass around, you see the magnification effect constantly. - Useful to find a right position for this effect to magnify the right spot. - Useful to draw a rain drop on top of the leave which really looks like a drop, including distortion of the water. Hej, I'm used to double click on the magnifier in Adobes programs to switch to the 100% view - would be cool to have it also in Photo and Designer. Tiny but nice. :) cheers, Steffen

This is a weird one. I only include it because it just isn't the way it should be. I wasn't able to reproduce it in MAS. It only happens in Separated Mode. I had loaded a .jpg into AD because I wanted to use the same color in a project. I drug the eyedropper across the screen and it left a trail behind it changing the color of everything it flew over. I also found that the brush tool, if the brush size is over a certain amount does it also. In the attached video it first shows the magnifier of the eyedropper as it passes over the jpg and even areas that are just the blank AD screen show the change. Releasing the mouse button erases the trail. Then I switch to the Brush tool, without pressing the mouse button. It starts with a brush that is 60.5 px and doesn't leave a trail. Then the brush enlarges to 69.5 and it leaves a trail. The trail stays on the screen. Switching to another tool erases the trail. I found that when zoomed to 150% it left a trail when the brush got bigger than 41 px. The more I zoom the smaller the brush size needs to be to leave a trail, with a 500% zoom it does it with a 12.5 px brush. On my screen the brush size has to be a circle of about 1/2 inch to cause it. Anything smaller there isn't a trail, anything larger there is a trail.
