  1. Is there a way to select all sublayers to a layer to do an action, such as change stroke width? In AD 2.1 Mac, I want to select a layer (or several layers at the same layer) but also select all sublayers, so that when I do something like change a stroke color or width, the change would apply to the objects in all the layers and sublayers. Instead, I'm finding that if I select a layer, say, and change it's stroke, there's no option that I can see to affect all sublayers. Using the Select > Select Object menu doesn't offer much help. Also, isn't it possible to drag-select layers in the layers panel? I thought I saw that as an option somewhere. Thanks!
  2. On the desktop version of Photo for Mac (High Sierra) I created a mask for an image layer. When I attempt to select the mask layer it also selects the parent image layer along with the child mask layer. I'm unable to select only the mask layer. As such, when I attempt to paint on the mask layer, it paints on the image layer, thereby ruining it. I imported the same project file into the iPad version of Photo, where it works just fine and I can select only the mask layer and thereby paint only on the mask layer without affecting the parent image layer. When I import the same file back into the desktop version, the issue persists. I also tried this with a different file and the problem is exactly the same. So the problem seems to be reproducible.
  3. I was watching a video course on Lynda.com (Advanced Affinity Photo for Desktop) and the video for creating your own macros. The video shows recording a macro where the first step is to create a selection from a layer. When I try that, I get Macro Recorder - Cannot record "Selection From Layer". Am I missing some setting that I need to change to allow this or is it not available on the Windows version? The course appears to be recorded on a Mac version of Affinity.
  4. This is my second attempt at this question. The original has had 34 views and no response. I can't believe it is that difficult a question. Of course it's possible it's the reverse and so blindingly obvious that no one's bothered to take it too seriously ........... :( In AP I can create selections from a layer by cmd clicking in the layer icon. In PS if I hold down the shift key I can add each selection to the previous selection to build up a 'compound' selection. This doesn't work in AP because it's assigned to luminance selection. Is there an equivalent or different way of combining the selections from multiple layers in AP to create a single compound selection? It's a tiny thing but it's very convenient. :)
  5. Hello, how can i create a new layer from a selection? Thanks for your answers. Greetings digger_one
