  1. Hello! First of all thank you guys for having developed this wonderful suite, I bought all three software on my Macbook Pro and my win10 desktop. They are really brilliant in many ways, but there is one thing that frustrated me a bit. Based in China with this East Asian background I have to deal with lots of vertical texts, in Mainland China vertical layout texts in books or magazines have become much less popular since the new regime made decision to assimilate to the West, however these years I have seen many people of young generation have picked up the old tradition in their works i guess might be Japan/Taiwan/Hong Kong cultural influence that made them to rediscover the old fashion China style. Anyway I am still able to make vertical Chinese/Japanese/Korean layouts, just very inconvenient. What I am doing now is type text in horizontal text frames and then edit them to be vertical and I give up if there are loads of words. I hope if possible I will be able to directly type in vertical CJK texts like in Word/Pages or Japanese version of Indesign. thanks. And if this function is still there just me not knowing it please tell me lol. Wish you all the best, I really appropriate.
  2. Hey you all! I do transit diagrams and maps for fun in my free time. This is my minimalistic interpretation of the streetcar network of Hiroshima. Have fun! And feedback is appreciated.
  3. Please support Japanese vertical writing. This is the function most needed by Japanese. Website with detailed explanation: https://w3c.github.io/jlreq/#vertical-writing-mode-and-horizontal-writing-mode Adobe uses this because it supports vertical writing in Japanese. This is the only reason why I and my workplace cannot adopt “Affinity”. If this problem is solved, “Affinity” may become the top share in the Japanese market. Can Japanese donate development costs to support vertical writing in Japanese? In Japan, Adobe dominates the market. That is not good. The Japanese market requires the emergence of competitors that compete with Adobe. I hope that Affinity plays an active role for Japan.
  4. Hey! I do transit maps and diagrams for fun in my spare time. Here is another one I did a few months ago - in March. In bright and dark. It's the tramway network in Kagoshima, Japan. What do you think about it? Have a great week! Chris
  5. Would be nice if you could add additional cropmark format.(Japan/China format) This has bleed guides that regular cropmark doesn't. https://www.mojoprint.jp/tutorials/2007/07/10/understanding-the-guides-and-marks-used-in-the-templates/ https://indesignsecrets.com/japanese-and-chinese-crop-marks-for-indesign.php https://www.printarabia.ae/help/creating-data/what-are-trim-marks
  6. Some of japanese styled designs that I've made for my online stores. ;) (click on the thumbnail for a higher resolution)
  7. I purchased Affinity Designer 1.2.1 by App Store. I can user Japanese fonts (2bytes characters). The Japanese fonts were shown on the Collections of Character until yesteday. But now don't appear Japanese fonts on list. I can user Jpanese fonts in other Account on my iMac. I have to reset the preference(s) of Designer 1.2.1 ?? How to reset (or delete) the preferences ?
