  1. Hey all, I'm unable to run any affinity installer to either update my programs or install them from scratch. Every time I try it starts a new process and then immediately terminates it, I have tried running it in compatibility mode, as Administrator and even redownloaded the same files. It's only happening with affinity products, I have been able to install other apps just fine on my machine.
  2. Purchased Affinity Photo (v. 1.5.2.69) and tried to install on my Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) laptop. Nothing happens. If I try to install with administrator rights, I do get a dialog box asking if I want to proceed to allow the application to make changes to the system. I click yes, but again nothing more happens. I've looked through the forums but was unable to locate a solution. To be sure, I've downloaded the application twice, and tried starting my computer, but same result. Any assistance would be appreciated.
  3. Updating Affinity Photo 1.6.2 to 1.6.4 fails during validation phase due to missing MSI file. Possibly missing due to disk cleanup in Windows (10-1709, 64bit). Manual uninstall from Windows settings is not possibly, same error. What work around do you suggest?
  4. When I tried to finish installing affinity I got this message. How do I fix this?
  5. Edition: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version: 1709 OS Build: 16299.19 Affected software: Affinity Photo & Affinity Designer Uninstalling or updating the Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer is currently broken. Every time you try to upgrade, you get a message that you don't have enough privileges, even though you have been asked for Admin privileges by the Updater process. The Uninstaller exhibits similar problems, too, as you can't run the Installer after using the Uninstaller, unless you log out or reboot. My guess on this is that: The Updater process marks the C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Photo and C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Designer for deletion, but does not properly delete them until you log out or reboot. This makes it impossible to update your apps, because the Updater will try to use the above locations, but they are in "limbo" - not properly deleted until you reboot/logout, so no process, not even with Admin privileges can write there and the Updater fails with the "Not enough privileges" error when it tries to use these locations to store the new versions. The only option at this stage is to cancel the update (this will leave you with the app uninstalled). I assume the above because: navigating to the C:\Program Files\Affinity\ with the File Explorer, I was able to see both the Affinity Photo and the Affinity Designer folders, but I could not open them (I've got the same "not enough privileges" error) after logout/reboot, the above dirs are gone, so running the installer works correctly at this point Unfortunately, having to uninstall, log out, log in, run the full installer and provide the serials is a very unfriendly upgrade experience. Please fix you installer app or change it with something that works.
  6. Hi there, I would like to request that Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer can silently install without asking for email/product key. Then the email/product key will be asked on first launch. I would probably have payed 200% of the price for a Linux version. But since Serif decided not to go that way, I'm using a virtual machine with Windows. The Windows evaluation reboots every 2 hours and expires after a month. I can automate the provisioning for rebuilding the VM for most things, but not for Affinity products.
  7. I just purchased Affinity - having got thoroughly fed-up with Adobe PS and wanting a replacement. I have a Windows 10 environment and have tried four times to download and install the program but each time it gets hung up on the first "Welcome" screen for the installation wizard (some wizard!). That screen says "computing space requirements". It just sits there inert and eventually I get an "unresponsive" message. What am I missing here? So far the non-performance of Affinity i about on a par with that of Photoshop not opening. HELP!
