  1. 🇫🇷 Hi, below the three keyboards of the brand apple all in vector. Can be practical for tutorials with each independent key. The following typofaces were used: Avenir, SF Compact and SF Pro Display. These typofaces are free of rights. Screen prints are made with characters. To view the many characters (more than 5,000!…) of the SF Pro Display font, the Symbol SF (free) application is very practical, but the Codepoint utility (€9.99) is perhaps more effective with more than 70,000 items!… MAGIC KEYBOARDS Apple.zip
  2. Illustrated maps for village promotion and tourist places. Created in Affinity Designer using vector technique combined with bitmap using Concept Master Vol.1: Nature Brush Pack brushes and those created by myself. So far, for several maps, I have drawn about 200 objects with varying degrees of accuracy.

  4. My client is writing a children's book and will use graphics supplied by a professional illustrator. What is the best file format for the illustrator to use to send us the illustrations for use in Affinity Publisher?
  5. Some time ago I acquired the affinity software and I am was very pleased with its operation, unfortunately, my work team they still do not decide to change and continue with the Adobe suite. In order not to make the story long, it would seem appropriate for me to add an "section" of export to Adobe Illustrator to affinity designer software. It would help me too much to export directly because my colleagues and boss use A.I and it is difficult to pass them the files that I generate in A.F
  6. I come from a background in layout and illustration of college science textbooks, before Desktop Publishing existed. I have never used InDesign, Quark, etc., so discussions of their features, terminology, or usages do not mean much to me, nor do I have much idea how my needs might be met by a DTP. Most seem to be overpriced or over-featured for my list of basic wishes. I am hoping that AfPub is trying to be the so-far-missing program between a user like myself and the expensive world of InDesign. My basic needs are listed below. Will I be able to meet them with AfPub when it is fully released? For example, I love the two-page, accurately margined and paginated spread, and the indexing. Will the rest be there? My needs seem, to me, to be a basic set for a DTP, but are they? I want to produce what will eventually be a number of long (open-ended 100+ pp.) text documents. I want them to be rather profusely illustrated with captioned, numbered Figures, Charts, Maps, etc., probably at least one such per page, more likely more. The documents are, however, primarily text, so I need the text to be easily editable, and the text linkages to be continuous, at least through each section or chapter. Not sure how text boxes would work for this. I want the illustrations to be grouped with their captions, and not to interrupt the flow of the basic text. I want to control the flow of uninterrupted text around the illustrations. I am trying to present information, not “artiness.” The illustrations are also intended to present information, not artiness. I want to be able to control the scaling and/or proportions of the illustrations as I import them. Importing from Photo and Designer seems good, and I look forward to that. I want to be able to generate TOC, and Tables/Lists of Figures, charts, maps, etc. automatically. i want to be able to control pagination, so that I will be able to stitch together various parts as I work on them. I need to work on parts or sections out of order, so some dynamic numbering is important. I want to have indexing. I want text styling for the various levels of body, captions, headings, and so forth. I want to be able to create the styles easily, and for them to be conveniently displayed for quick usage. I want running headers/footers, controlled by assigned heading levels in the text. I want an outline, dynamically created by headings, for organization and navigation. i want to be able to produce footnotes or endnotes, and possibly to cross-reference material. Perhaps a bibliography. i want to be able to lock (and unlock) finished portions so that their layout will be undisturbed by later editing in the document. I want to be able to create a new document based on these elements in a finished document, so that I will not have to recreate all the styles, page layout, etc. A template, or other ability to call out the formatting and styles of an existing document in a new document. i see elements of my needs all throughout what I have seen in AfPub, but somehow the basic process of creating a continuous, illustrated, long text document seems missing to me. Or am I missing something that is there, or going to be there, and I am simply waiting on a manual to guide me into it? So far, I see elegant brochures, but not my usage; but if so, why is a feature such as indexing already available? Will AfPub work for me?
  7. Been trying out Affinity Designer Trial for a while now, and i love it. Only concern i have right know will designers of all kinds be able to sell their work? As most people or customers out there require the format .AI from illustrator as well as the other formats .eps, .svg, .jpeg and so on. Any tips for this concern? I also use illustrator but im thinking about switching to Affinity Designer on full time. Thank you!

  9. Hello, I am new to the world of graphic design and using design software. Thanks to the informative videos I have found via this site, YouTube and Lynda.com., I am slowing learning. I have purchased Affinity Designer and the text book. I have illustrated and written a children's book, "The Exciting Travels of Tuffie and Giuseppe" (www.tuffieandgiuseppe.com) and used Microsoft Publisher to lay it out. I would now like to try and lay out my next book using Affinity Designer. My first book has 25 pages of about 30 paintings. I use 8.5 x 11 inch mixed media paper with acrylic ink. This is so that I can scan my artwork using a home scanner. I would love to hear any advice or about other experiences using Affinity Designer to lay out something like a very visual children's book. I also bought a Huion 1060 drawing pad which I am currently learning how to use. Thank you Ronnie McBride for your many informative tutorials. Thanks, Charla Perry
  10. Some previews from the new upcoming Monema.it website. We are a 360°-mutlimedia-fullstack-agency and we proudly purchased affinity designer to use it among the other "famous ones". I am, as you may imagine, a graphic designer, my daily work routine is about: illustration, html/css, ux/ui, web design, poster, catalog, brochure and occasionally motions... In one word: Affinity is, despite some (annoying) bug, without any doubt a great product for people like me who usually do the entire range of graphic design. This time i tried to make some illustrations representing three main concept: Create. Make better. Simplify. The contest: tell me wich one represent one of the three concept! Not so easy... Anyway i hope you enjoy it, thi is my frist use of affinity fo the entire illustration process. I wait some suggestions... Tnx! Update files, done some better shade work
  11. I'm new to Affinity Designer and am liking many of the features. As a longtime Ai user, I love the pixel/vector capabilities. Here's a piece I just finished. Looking to add some friends on the forum.
  12. Hello Guys!! This is my first post here, so if I am doing something wrong... I am sorry =/ So, I am really trying to make the salt & pepper effects from the google illustrations and I am failing hard. https://medium.com/google-design/salt-pepper-the-art-of-illustrating-texture-c962dc67cc35#.f0q6cw9rs <--- Here's the reference article. Links from resources, or articles based on affinity designer are a really good tip for me too. Thanks very much!
