Sahil Ansari posted a topic in Tutorials (Serif and Customer Created Tutorials)In this video, We are going to show you, How to create Black and white to Color gradient effect in Affinity, This method works in both software (Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo).
When trying to enter the gradient color scale by clicking on the gradient color box (which I have often done), sometimes the color scale will not appear, even though the layer I am editing is not locked and I have selected it. I thought it might be too many undos so I quit AfPhoto (AP) and opened the file again. Sometimes I then could access the color scale but sometime not. A related problem is that even though I made a color palette (.afpalette) and chose it in Swatches, the color I just added to the palette (and chose) does not appear in the gradient swatches color box via the color scale (although it appears in my main Swatches list). I have tried quitting AP, opening it again, bringing up the correct palette (in which the new color appears), but it still is not in gradient swatches color box via the color scale. Is this a known problem.? If not I will make the file again and see if that helps. It would be a great help if one could drag the desired color from the main Swatches list and drop it on the desired color dot along the gradient color scale, or perhaps some other way, such as holding down a modifier key and clicking on the color in the main Swatches list.
Electricduck posted a topic in (Pre 1.7) Bugs on WindowsHi Affinity Developers, While illustrating with your lovely software I noticed following problem. When using (Vector) Paint Brush tool in Affinity Designer, one can't change gradient colors because those will revert to white. With rectangle and other shape tools, gradient editing works as expected. I tried resetting to default settings, that did not do anything. Tested with Affinity Designer in Windows 22.214.171.124 and with latest beta 126.96.36.199 Steps how to recreate the problem as attachment.
