  1. Affinity photo is hanging, and I don't know what's causing it. I have had similar freezes happen in the last few weeks of using it too. Not many, but even just one every few days of use is enough to disrupt workflow. What I was doing: Merged down the attached file onto a single layer. Made visible only the merged down layer. Went into develop mode on the merged down layer, and started making adjustments (shadows and highlights, contrast, etc) Pressed the split view button so that I could compare the image before and after adjustments. AFFINITY HANGING! My setup: 64-bit Windows 10 8GB RAM Affinity Photo 1.6.4.104 So, interestingly, it's not showing as "not responding", but if I click on the Affinity Photo icon, it doesn't bring the window up, it just shows what was there before. Task manager lists affinity photo, and that it is consuming 2GB of RAM (RAM usage in total running at 70%), but not using any processing power. Attempting to close the application by right clicking on Affinity Photo and pressing close window doesn't seem to do anything. So instead I have closed the application by using "end task" in the task manager. After re-opening the file, and doing the process again, it proceeded without hanging. Nick at drawing board.afphoto
  2. Hi, I have a user that is using your hard and software for Affinity and equinox 2.0. It was installed on PC1 for years and worked without any problem, suddenly it stops working. I tried to re-install the software from the CD-rom gotten at purchase, everything is fine until i try to open the .exe file and it instantly crashes(xxmodulesuite has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution) the computer has all the requirements thats asked for, I am running windows 7 with all the latest windows updates. I installed it on a similiar specs machine with Windows 7 and it works without a problem. Could this be a driver issue? I have not yet checked that all the drivers are up to date. Best regards
  3. I am using Affinity Designer Pro version 1.5.3.69. I import a .psd file, I add a new layer, I start to paint on new layer and it crashes, or freezes every time I try to do this. I get this error code 0x80004003. I sent an error notice through the program along with my email. Anyone know why? Or how to fix it??????
  4. Hello, I'm really happy with Affinity Photo, great software ! I used it this week in production and noticed some freezes / lags which occurs in a random way, or at least I have not found yet the cause of it. I'm very surprised because I have a decent hardware ( i7 5960X and Titan X ), so I'm wondering if it really comes from my hardware or if AP needs a bit of work on the performances side. By the way is there any setting I can use to improve AP performances and responsiveness ? RAM usage is already set on the max available. Thank you, Pierre
  5. Hi guys, it's pretty easy to reproduce the freezing event: just create a new document, write a text open the character panel point to the drop down menu, change the values. Set on pdf, then toggle the other menu behind, the program stalls. The only way out is the task manager P.S. That occurs in A.Designer as well
  6. The App freezes after opening on my Macbook Air running under Mac OS 10.11, which then I must do a force quit. This issues does not seem to happen when running on my iMac desktop.
  7. Affinity Photo 1.3.4 consistently freezes on me when choosing between multiple tools in El Capitan Public Beta 3 and Public Beta 4. I have to force quit the application each time. It's likely an Apple issue, and I've reported it to them, but I thought I'd post it here too. I didn't really start using Affinity Photo until I upgraded to the El Capitan beta, so I don't know if the issue also occurs in Yosemite. I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro (early 2011) with 756GB SSD and 16GB RAM, connected to a 27-inch Cinema Display.
