Selecting all unfilled/unstroked objects and deleting them is a common and useful command to clean up files. Sometimes our own, but often those supplied by third parties. However, with this issue, trying to do that will lead to have all your layers deleted, even layers containing objects. Steps to reproduce: Create a new document Draw a few coloured objects, place some in one or more layers Draw an object with cleared fill and stroke Select the unfilled object and use the command Select Same > Fill Colour Notice that all layers and groups in the document will also be select Press Delete, the unfilled object will be deleted, along with all layers and all objects within I've attached a video with a visual guide for this bug. Stroked bug variant: Follow steps 1. to 3. from the list above again Select the unstroked object, but this time use the command Select Same > Stroke Colour Follow the steps 5. and 6. from the list above No video for this variant as it's exactly the same as above, just a different command. There are no workarounds for this bug to the best of my knowledge. Thanks! Gravação 2023-07-13 115028.mp4

Hi, I am totally new to graphic design, so my apologies if I need dumb-proof step by step. I have downloaded a number of vector patterns which I need to recolour. I have managed to input a set of global colours, which I would like to be my "Brand palette". I need to separate each individual elements in order to recolour them separately, ideally using my brand colour as main colour setting. I can't "ungroup" the pattern and do not seem to be able to recolour as fill. Also, I thought you could recolour the similar shapes at once. Could somebody be kind enough to give me step by step from start to finish? Thanking you in advance...

I've been playing around with a text box and a rectangle that sits "behind" the box to frame the text with a colored background. Initially, creating the rectangle was straightforward. Drag it out to the desired size, then go to the top options and choose a Fill color. Fine. Then, while adding text to the text box (and careful to do so only in the text box) and resizing both the text box and the rectangle, suddenly the rectangle changes to a text frame ). In the Layers, this shows up as a "(Shape Text)" The transition point happens when the Frame Text Tool (that was being used on the Text Frame to edit the wording and resize the Text Frame) touches inside the Rectangle. This can happen while using the Frame Text Tool cursor to expand or shrink the Rectangle by dragging the frame. If you happen to accidentally click inside the Rectangle, it changes to a Text Frame. But I cannot find a way to reverse that to change it back to a rectangle. This may not be considered a bug (a design feature enabling changing the rectangle to a text frame with a single click), but is certainly unexpected behaviour. And, I'd like to know how to change it back to a rectangle if that is possible.

I'm new to Affinity and this forum so apologies if this has been covered before. I'm trying to add text to a photo using the ellipse and frame text tools in Photo. However, when I drag the frame text tool into the ellipse and click left, the fill colour disappears. How do you retain the fill colour? Thanks in advance..
