  1. One thing that keeps popping into my mind is this: There are tons of title plugins for FCPX/Premiere, but they are only usable within said application(s). For things like Youtube cover pic graphics, social media graphics etc it would be "strange" to create those within FCPX or Premiere with its "timeline" layout. For that one should use Designer, which is document-centric. Long story short: it would be absolutely "KILLER" if Designer was able to utilise those plugins in a static document environment. Over to you, guys, and for all those sympathizing with me, please leave a comment or a "bump". Thank you! Helmar

Photo + Final Cut Pro X

As I learn Photo, I'm delighted to see compatibility with Apple's Final Cut Pro X video editing software. When exporting as a Photoshop PSD you can select "Final Cut Pro X". Until now I've been using Photoshop CS5 to create graphics for video projects, which I'm replacing with Affinity Photo. With CS5 I found that drop shadows created in Photoshop didn't translate to FCPX. But with Photo, the transition is seamless. FCPX lets you animate layers to have photos and or text move around the screen by creating keyframes. I like how images can be placed and quickly sized in Photo by selecting Place, click and drag. Aligning images is made easy by guidelines that pop up as you move around the document. The image below is 1920 X 1080 for HD video. Old school collage with drop shadows, gradient background. I sampled the sky reflection in the water and the fungus for the gradient background. The JPEGs are unprocessed, straight out of camera.
  3. I think it would be perfect if affinity photo/design would be intergrated in real time with FCPX & Motion without using the export menu. I'm really looking forward to real-time updates like Photoshop/Illustrator with Premiere Pro/AE I would like to have real-time update integration plugin is built in. I do not hesitate to purchase it if I sell it as a plug-in that needs to be installed separately. I want to integrate A/P & A/D with FCPX & Motion and update it in real time I look forward to working with you

    3d LUT trouble

Hi, just new with affinity photo for mac. I buyed it to play with LUTs and FCPX. I did tutorials on internet, but it's impossible for me to have a result. Tried exporting .tiff picture from FCPX then graded it on AP, did printscreen, tried .jpg and .png, but always the same problem. See pictures. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? when the lut is applied on FCPX (I tried two different app to apply the LUT (mLUT and PixelStudio) the result is the same. the weiderst thing is that when I apply the created LUT on the original picture in affinity photo the problem is the same! any idea??? many thanks for the help and sorry for my english... Damien
  5. Hello, I'm working with your Photo Trial software. My intention is to use it for compositing in Final Cut Pro X. I currently use Photoshop for this purpose. My workflow is to export frames from FCPX, open them in Photoshop where I create my masks and knockouts, then import them to FCPX where I assemble my composite shots. Unfortunately, I find that the images I create in your software and export as PSDs open as a blank white frames in FCPX. I tried exporting using a variety of PSD settings (including the FCPX preset), but the result is the same. The exported Affinity files will open correctly in Photoshop, and if I save them from Photoshop (without any changes), they will import correctly into FCPX. Anyone having success with this sort of thing?
  6. Hello Everyone, I am new to graphics on computers and am looking at getting your program to create graphic artwork for use in my video work in FCPX. I will mostly be building titles in Motion, and publishing them to FCPX. I have a couple of beginner questions, if I may ask them: 1) If I want to be able to animate individual layers in Motion, which format should I export the final project in: PSD, SVG,...? 2) Are there any tips or suggestion for doing this kind of project? Any suggestions and/or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  7. I also noted psd. issues in the Beta but the exported .psd is bad. Multi layered file exports with no info and when I bring into FCP X it's flattened with no info. Note: I also used the "Final Cut Pro X" preset for the .psd Thanks, Both Times.psd
  8. Hello, maybe this is an unusual request, but it would help me a lot in my workflow. I use Affinity to do photos and graphics for use in training videos and presentations. I use Final Cut Pro X for the videos and Keynote for the presentations. In Affinity I have a really hard time to get the skintones right. Normally I use FCPX to do the color correction of the videos. There I have these easy videoscopes and color wheels available. And I like the colors of the slides and the videos to be consistent. Would it be possible to get these tools available in Affinity products, too? Regards, Olaf
