Why is Apub v2 placed xlsx excel as a table's data wrong? I've attached the Apub, excel table and excel pdf. Table issue.zip

Affinity Publisher crashes when I attempt to place .xlsx table file

I am running Affinity Publisher 1.8.5.703 on Windows 10. When I attempt File > Place... and select an Excel .xlsx file to place a table on a page, Affinity closes. Is there a resolution? Student Enrollment By Ethnicity Fall 2011.xlsx
Place excel file not an option

Hi I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I want to place an excel table into a document. I got to file / place, and I can select various option to look for in terms of what to place, jpg, png etc. But I can see an option for excel. Am I looking in the wrong place, where am I going wrong?
