  1. Pizza1_DAP_Vegetables.afphotoI have been experimenting with Mediachance Dynamic Auto Painter Pro and seeing how its output can integrate into an Affinity Workflow. I processed an image from my DrawPlus X8 samples directory and painted a new image based on a vegetable collage. DAP allows an output in the form of a multilayered PSD file which will import into Affinity apps very well. So if you are interested in using this painting app with Affinity, then you can see that it will be a very useful addition to your creative library of apps. Here is an example of the output and an Affinity Photo file which I saved from the process for you to examine and see if it would be useful for you. There are three layers in the simplified Affinity Photo file based on the simplified PSD. You might like to experiment with them. Other painting styles are supported with quite a bias toward Van Gogh and Benson. Enjoy.
  2. A Chinese Crested called Wizz, drawn in Affinity Designer as a tribute for a friend (Wizz passed in December last year). All vector apart from the pixel cloud brushes which came from the xresch clouds and smoke collection on the Affinity Store.
  3. Photos for the presentation optimized with AP. Eye-catching with light and shadow and some Dodge and Burn
  4. Done a t-shirt design for a client just white on a black shirt - just decided to have a mess around adding colour using the Frankentoon brushes - They're mainly the Frankentoon nomad brushes which I purchased as soon as I had a quick play around with the brushes that came with the Designer 1.6 free promo
  5. Normally I could do this with Photoshop. But really struggling with Affinity. If anyone knows an easier way to remove reflection I'd be ever so grateful. Anyway, my first attempt using a cross between my Lightroom and Affinity Photo.
  6. Hi all, a recent tutorial I did for Envatotutsplus on Affinity Designer is out. It's a step by step from start to finish type of tutorial of my basic workflow developing a fun Canine Cowboy character to a cartoony semi-realistic finish. It's an intermediate level tutorial so some knowledge of Designer is required. :-) Check it out at: http://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-detailed-beer-label-in-affinity-designer--cms-26010 Also checkout the attached image here for a preview of the final image. Have fun! Retrograde (aka Kevin Creative)
  7. This my Border Terrier waiting for my wife and myself to let him out. You can just make out the new puppy laying in its cage 'bottom right'.
  8. I am really happy with this, knocked it up in about 45 min. This is my second attempt at my wacom and affinity and vector art. I am really happy with the outcome . Please feel free to give feedback. Jon Fuller
  9. Here's another dog, seems I'm on a roll... personal work this time. Thought I'd try out an all airbrush style paint piece using mostly pixel persona and the spray paint brushes in Designer. I had tried this guy a few years back in photoshop, this turned out much better. ;) Maybe I just suck at photoshop painting... :) Some discoveries made with this piece has got me thinking of some personal wish list items for Designer as it pertains particularly for painting: - rotate canvas - an option or toggle to hide the brush cursor while painting (some of the brush cursors outline previews are a little distracting and are in the way while painting) - smooth stroke or lazy mouse feature - quick flip canvas (horz and vert) to check composition - OPTION > COMMAND > SPACE BAR and COMMAND > SPACE BAR for zooming (it's enabled and works as expected in draw persona but not in pixel persona, never did get an explanation on why this is... - this is a biggie hence the UPPERCASE letters!) :) The navigator palette just doesn't cut it for quick workflow. as an aside... - would love to see a "global" noise effect ability like in Affinity Photo (live filter) to be able to globally cover entire artwork with noise from the top most layer...
