  1. Using the Dodge and burn on a mask layer is handy when using to affect only shadows, midtones or highlights. Eg. Dodging a lighter sky through a dark tree. Tx
  2. I know it's easy but not ATM I would like to have the dodge and burn shadow/midtone/highlight boxes (red) available all the time, and I don't need this tools in blue . How do I remove those tools in that 'what's it called' Bar ? That I hope that will allow the shadow/midtone/highlight boxes to be available as they were before the update Just of interest; I often use the inbuilt dodge and burn tools on a 50% grey layer so I can pick the tones to be adjusted . Cheers
  3. Hey guys, thanks in advance for your help! I recently purchased affinity and am beginner/intermediate.. I also recently watched a dodging and burning tutorial involving 50% gray fill layers and painting white or black on them to “dodge” or “burn” excepppppt my paint brush tool isn’t painting? I don’t use an Apple pen, I’ve already toggled the “touch for gestures only” on and off to see if that would solve it and nothing. My history will acknowledge that I used the paint tool, and even if I have my opacity/flow to %100, I’m seeing 0 effect ): I can’t screen record so here’s a screenshot of where all my selections are at. If I attempt to paint, well, nothing happens. Hahah pretty frustrating as it’s a small issue to hinder my workflow ): help!
  4. I have two curve layer adjustments for my dodge and burning retouch work on AP for my iPad Pro. I’d like to select a section of the mask and add a Gaussian blur. Is this possible? If so, how do I do this? I new to AP but a Photoshop veteran looking for an iPad alternative. Thank you so much in advance.
  5. I was hoping I could replicate the new Dodge and Burn tutorial except that the image I need to work on is in CMYK. Is there a way to get 50% grey in cmyk in order to do like in the tutorial? I wonder if I could switch color modes for just this process and revert back?
