  1. Hello everyone ! not sure this is the right place to post this but i found it to be the only place global suggestion goes and i take the opportunity to share my recent idea here. Well, i think it is time for Serif to develop a lace similar to Behance on its infrastructure. Designers, Photographs, illustrators and those working in the publishing industry using the Affinity range of products will be interested into this. it will also make it easier for those who have no knowledge or simply have no time of building their portfolio website/page to find a place where they feel at home. i know many will say : but why not just go on Behance or one of those shiny website out there and do the stuff ? My answer is : i just feel how much home alone you will feel when you see all peoples around you processing with the same software and sharing content that makes them be a family and you can't just use their content properly nor even share yours and they find it okay ! Better for now is Serif must develop such a platform, even making different level such as : Free (very simple) , Silver then Gold ! it will be place where people can just come browse and discover what is possible to be made with Affinity thus making the Forum a place for questions and answer. Yes we share content here, Yes it is helpful but all those good artist I've met here can't hide anymore behind a forum that no one can easily enjoy, it is time for Affinitizers to be openly revealed to the world. Serif is not playing a back court game nor a Toy story tales but a real stuffs that deserve visibility everywhere. Hope this will be of interest and not just forgotten. Blessings !
  2. I need assistance or enlightenment in working on the Discovery project. No problem in making the Mid, Foreground, Element and Astronaut layers. Creating the light beam, Pen Tool (selected Element layer) no problem. Renamed the curve layer to Light beam. Select Paint Brush Tool, painted white 69% Opacity. Clip the brush layer to Light beam’s layer, no problem. As stated, to give smoke natural look, change the blend mode to Overlay. This is my first problem, totally removes all visible smoke. I had to return to Normal mode to see any smoke. Second problem, instructions state use Ease Brush tool, using same brush to give natural look; however, this adds a Mask layer, not to be found in instructions. I will attach screen shot of progress and mask layer. As seen, I changed from Overlay to Normal blend mode to see color. Thank you for any info, corrections or user error in following Workbook instructions.
  3. Hello Everyone ! Hello Team ! Today i'm coming with this clear suggestion: Could Serif start making (and inviting) peoples and users to live webinar or YouTube Live which will be more organized like Masterclasses ? What's the point for this ? Well, in fact it is not bad to have short courses or content like the one we see and have on the respective YouTube channels (Photo, Designer and Publisher) but when it comes to really practical way of all this ... it gets really complicated i mean, if i want to achieve a project using APhoto and i want to process some massive Dodge and Burning (the Affinity way) but in the same time i don't know about layers and what they are used for, then i will be tempted to work in a really destructive way with almost Zero possibility to recover. So to fix that, the better will be that i attend a Masterclass/Webinar which Topic will be Layers and where i will learn not only about layers but about most of creative and most needed operations that can be done using layers (dodge and burning included). A 1h long with 3 or 4 examples is enough and then i will ask question about that precise topic and get answers. This will make people progress really fast, drop the pressure level in the forum and make every people who really are invested to progress together and deliver good or simply much better. The Masterclass can also be the opportunity to have those people you are presenting on Spotlight to not only talk about this and that but come connect with Affinity community though a Webinar/Masterclass for a 1h long sharing. There are many things that can become a Masterclass topic, from Text to Paragraph to Adjustment Layers etc. Also Webinar/YouTube live Masterclass can be the very place to showcase the current Beta through kind of 30min. Okay ! here is toom much line of text. I leave it here for everyone to read and bring necessary inputs, the idea is global but only the community can refine it. Blessings
  4. Another spectacular find, this time on Mars http://b-bertuleit.de/discovery-project-mars-mission/
  5. Following the discovery project in the new Affnity Photo Workbook I put the scene on the earth moon. Something spectacular was found ... http://b-bertuleit.de/discovery-project-moon-mission/
  6. Based on the Discovery Project in the new Affnity Photo Workbook, I placed the scene on one of the four main moons of Jupiter. I'm a fan of Stanley Kubrick, 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the best science fiction movies ever. No further monolith was found in this cave, but something very spectacular. There is also a wonderful view http://b-bertuleit.de/discovery-jupiter-mission/
