    Colonize Mars!

First time posting here! I've been using AD for almost a year, and it's now my go-to for pretty much all of my graphic work. Here's a piece I recently whipped up that's part of a sci-fi series I'm working on. Obviously, it's inspired by old propaganda posters. That, and a heavy dose of Ray Bradbury.

    Silent Ocean - Campaign (2018)

Silent Ocean - Campaign (2018) While studying at SAE for my Bachelor of Design, I got the change to work on a social issue campaign around noise pollution in the ocean with the goal to make 10 posters around the campaign and ended up making 12 posters, 10 badges, art display piece, and a website. This project was amazing to work on allowing myself to break out of my "normal design style" and really allow me to just play around with mix design, merging vector, paper craft, images and 3D together to create something amazing Made with: Affinity Photo (Mac + iOS (iPad Pro) Affinity Designer Autodesk Maya (for 3D) "Click Here" to view the website. __ Need of a graphic designer? 6. Hi guys! I needed to create a custom design for a Brand manual and I was struggling with the fact that there's no layout grid option like sketch. So I decided to download the illustrator templates of the 960.gs grid system and adapt it to affinity designer using the constraints (so no matter how wide your artboard is, the grid will always strech porportionally). Hope you find this as useful as me. You've got three files: 12 column layout 16 column layout 24 column layout Happy designing! 960_grid_12_col.afdesign 960_grid_16_col.afdesign 960_grid_24_col.afdesign

  11. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum but am trying to get some ideas about book cover designing. I'm planning to have my novel published very soon (through CreateSpace) and am especially interested in premade covers. There are many out there but most are mediocre at best. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea about this site: www.bookcoverzone.com - Nice covers, decent pricing and all but it's an automatic system, and I've never seen or tried anything like this before. If anyone has bought from this site, any feedback would be much appreciated.

    3D Type

Hi guys, I am currently working on this flyer and I want " Help us grow" to have that 3D depth to it like the "freezm" logo (images attached below) If anyone can help, I greatly appreciate it!!!
  16. Hey everyone, I'll attach a screenshot of my problem at the endn of the thread, but what I'm trying to do is merge these 3 curve layers into one flat object that I can put a gradient on (I wasn't able to do this with a rasterised pixel layer?) Is there any way I can do this? My issue with applying a gradient to the current set is that the gradient doesn't apply to the outline (which one of the layers uses as seen in the second screenshot) Are there any ways to do this or any workarounds? Thanks, Dylan EDIT: I know I could join curves but that would mess up some of the nodes and their placement wouldn't it?
  17. I know we're just getting into more programs, but are there any plans for a Dreamweaver alternative?

    Fastar (car showroom) - Branding

Hello. I want to share the first commercial work done with products Affinity. I have developed a corporate identity for the official dealer, who is engaged in the sale of cars: Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru. Work for: https://www.behance.net/gallery/61807951/fastar-(brending) and Mouche video presentation: Thank.
  19. Hi everyone, I'm trying to move these circles to all be an equal distance from each other as well as the points of the triangle, it doesn't seem possible with the snapping system and I have no clue how to move them the way I want, can anyone help? I've attached a screenshot Thanks
  20. So I'm trying to use a few triangles on a larger triangle, using compounds to try and flatten the vertices of a triangle, this works well on 2 vertices but leaves an artefact on the 3rd, the screenshots should show it and nothing I've tried so far has gotten rid of it; editing curves, making another triangle, etc. I should also mention that this artefact remains after I export it into PNG format for example
  21. Hi, To promote our honeycomb panel : Beelite. I develop a candy dispenser with two different thickness 10 and 16mm. I used affinity Photo iPad for the basic sketch and develop the mechanism (basic). And the rest was made with Affinity designer Die and print. 3DD10 3DD16 I have to use ArtiosCad (no for the design) to make it produceable on a plotter and make a 3D Previz. All pieces have to stitch each other (especially for the V-Notch 45°). Final product :150x150x150mm.
  22. As part of my project I want to make those brown dribbles in the screenshot look more like oil running down the screen, currently it just looks like drops, how can I make it look like more of a singular mass? As shown in the other photo I've attached, I know what I want to do but not how to do it, thanks!
  23. Hello, my proposition is, we have an option to export curves to DXF or DWG. Im sure there are more people who not only use Affinity Designer for 2D graphics, but also for using its curves for cutting with laser or others. Sometimes i need DXF file for that, and PDF with curves is not supported by CNC. Obviously i can export it to svg and export by other programs, but its a way around this problem and not really a proper solution.
  24. The screenshot speaks for itself really, I know this is a thing in Photoshop but is there any way to snap the bottom line of the Frame Text to the bottom part of some text? I'd need this to space everything out just right. Thanks
  25. Hi everyone, I'm working on a logo and I'm trying to get rid of 2 filled sections of some triangles, the outlines are already done but the fill is still there, the area that I want to clear is the red crossed out part, does anyone know how to do this? The way I was thinking to do is just clear the fill and use shapes to fill it in instead, merge those and then select the colour, but I feel like that'll take longer than other solutions I've attached a screenshot Thanks
