  1. Hello guys. I left this feature request in the image-line forums, for the music production software FL Studio, so, I would love to have the following feature in Affinity as well. It's the ability to program commands or extensions like programs like Microsoft Office, Adobe Flash/Animate, Microsoft VS Code, etc. It would be really useful to be able to create commands to automatize tasks, in either Python, C# or Javascript language. (I'd said mostly C#, but Python would be good because of its simple syntax). This will benefit greatly the Affinity/Serif developers, because they would only need to focus on fixing bugs mostly, and us community programmers could contribute by creating these commands and extensions so, the amount of features request should decrease. For example, one crucial extension would be we type a text in a input textfield/dialog, and it splits that text by the spaces and create {n} amount of textfields with the split words. Also, search layers by layer description/name/title or by another search query like hidden, locked, blend mode, or layer containing {x} FX, or search all layers of type textfield, or search all pixel layers, etc. There are so many tools we need to automatize task that us programmers could easily implement. Can someone from Affinity confirm if there is any plan of including this feature, or at least, if they would at least consider implementing it in like version 2.x? Thank you!
  2. Hey guys! Is in your plans allowing programmers to control the affinity programs with code? Like commands/actions in Python, C# or Javascript? Preferibly Python or C#. So we programmers can develop commands/actions that people can install or run to execute certain tasks. I need a definitive answer to this, to see if it's worth waiting for it, or a definitive NO! Thank you!
  3. Hi there, Would anybody else find it useful to have a key command to hide all vector outlines & nodes (& bounding boxes too) without deselecting the item, nor changing tools? It's easier to judge your final result without the distraction of the "back-room mechanics" on top of your stroke. I remember using that kind of Hide command back in Adobe days. Just pressing Spacebar for a momentary Hand tool _almost_ does the trick. But not if you're adjusting the item's stroke or brush or layer fx properties in a dialog – then Spacebar doesn't work. So you have to judge your adjustments with the nodes & outlines obscuring your edges (with Pen or Node tool selected, at least). And if you switch to a different tool that hides outlines & bounding box, then your pen or node tool parameter ribbon goes away. All these issues would be resolved with an additional View ->View Mode: Artwork/Result Only. Thanks in advance for considering it!
  4. It woulds be great to have a Select All command that only applies to the currently active page/artboard. Thanks for all you do.
  5. I really miss a shortcut command to place images or other files. Cheers Andreas
  6. I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or a feature in Affinity Designer. But every time I drag a shape while holding command in order to copy the shape (while moving it) and then undoing that action, I've noticed that Affinity doesn't really undo that action. It still leaves a copy of that shape on top of the previous shape. For example, I command drag a shape in order to copy and move it. After undoing that action, one would think the shape is gone but then it's not. This isn't the case in illustrator and it's always throwing me off because I end up with multiple copies of the shape on top of each other. Any help or comment appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Hi, I am using AP to crop dozens of screenshots and wanted to automate that. I created several macros (due to different resolutions of the screenshots), but in no macro can I add the FILE > SAVE (or CMD+S) command. Even CMD+W after the cropping does not work, as when I click SAVE in the close dialog, AP says it will not save that stuff. The Macro Recorder says "Cannot record "Export document". Is that correct behaviour? If so, is it possible to add the SAVE command to macros in a future version of AP? Thanks and happy May the 1st.
  8. Hey folks, I've notice a weird behavior when using the app: Almost 50% of the time, when I need to undo an action (so z), I end up with the loupe tool selected. Looks like the cmd key is not taken in account. As I'm using this shortcut —a lot— in any other software and only have the problem on Affinity, I'm sure it's not an hardware problem with my keyboard or even with myself :) If I press the shortcut —slowly—, then it's works. Could the problem be linked to the fact I trigger the shortcut too rapidly for the app? Yeah, I'm a ninja   But Affinity Designer IS a crazy fast app no?

    Option + Command bug

Try this: 1. Launch AD and create a new document 2. Press Command + Space bar (zoom in tool), works as expected, when you release the keys, you get back the Move tool (solid arrow), as expected. 3. Press Option + Spare bar (zoom out tool), works as expected, but when you release the keys, you get back the Hand tool (Pan), not the Move tool as expected.
  10. I recently dislocated and fractured my right shoulder in a wake boarding accident. Attached is the Xray. I cloned the gap, but when i went for a follow up, my bones did not reflect the changes I made in the x-rays? why not?! Seriously, I can only type with one hand, which seriously impedes productivity while typing (playing around with dictation controls, although not as good as Siri...) but more so using modifier keys and chording is a good challenge, lol... I enabled Sticky Keys, which almost solves the problem, but AD doesn't seem to "remember" the command - shift sticky keys before the MouseUp... here's a screencast (https://minbox.com/app/collections/vK07Twx). I'm using the latest Yosemite and your latest beta on macbook pro (8,2) w 8GB
  11. Command A doesn't invoke Select All, have to use the menu.
  12. Hey guys, I'm wondering if there is an easy way to move sublayers to their own layers like Illustrators "Release to Layers (Sequence)" Command. Thanks and great job on the app! ;)
