  1. Hey there, I'm new to affinity photo. Was looking around on the forum, youtube wasn't much help either. I figured out how to create a brush, and edit brushes that are already installed. But how do I create a new category (e.g. Basic, Acrylics, Dry Metal, etc.) inside the brushes menu for my new brushes? or how do I compile a brush pack?
  2. Aside from having the ability to change your brush view in the Brushes panel from a list to a grid/icons, it would be really nice to be able to rearrange the brush categories. Every time new brushes are added, they are added in a new category at the bottom of the category list, but that category then can't be moved up or down. This removes the ability to (for example) move all of my inking brush categories closer together and all of my painting brush categories together, to keep things tidy and organised. Basically, in the same way you can move brushes up and down in the category list, it would be great to be able to do this with the brush categories themselves too. Not a big deal, but it would be a handy little addition to the brushes panel that would be nice to see in a future update - I also can't imagine it being very difficult to implement something like this.
  3. I have created several new macros. However, when I wish to enter them into a new category I get an error as follows: Click on the hamburger menu at the top of the Library Panel. Select Create New Category. This creates a new category called Macros. Click on the Hamburger menu for this new category.Select Rename. I now get an error message saying "You already have a macro category named 'Macros'.Please choose another name." (Note the lack of space between Macros and Please.) I now click on Close and I am now able to choose another name. Needless to say, I do not already have a category called 'Macros'. John
  4. Basically I've installed the daub-concept brush set and would now like to removed them. In the process of trying to removed them myself I've deleted several of the pre-installed brush category's and would like to know if there is away to reset them to default without a full reinstall. I'm currently running Affinity photo on Windows 10. -Thanks
  5. Hey everyone! This is a very small feature request, but it would improve the workflow by quite a bit. Personally, I have some categories I don't use regularly. So I just collapse those. However, each time after starting Photo, all the categories will be open again with too many macros to scroll through. Could you save the state for each category when they are opened or closed? Best wishes, Shu
  6. Could you give us a way to keep all the brushes in their respective categories, and to put the most used brushes in a Favorites category. If I am using frequently a specific brush from a specific artist, I would like to remember the category it comes from. If I just put the brush in a custom category, it disappears from its original one. The only way I have to do this is to duplicate a brush and put it in a custom category, but it would be easier to just right-click it and put it in a special Favorites Category without duplicating it. Ideally, there should also be an indication of the original category the brush belongs to in an Info button next to the brush, in its Help Tip, or in its Edit pane (with an option to lock the original and duplicate it if we edit it).
  7. Hello, how can you in the library the categories all at once close or closed is preset, also optionally save as finished. Now the categories are always open at the start. For many existing macros (free pack) and own macros the list is otherwise much too long. The search is then very laborious. If not already present, then please accept as a request. Targeted opening is useful for all categories. -_- Greetings Dieter
