Hi! The "Resize Pixel Art Document" feature is completely broken, at least for me. When using this feature, the final result is always a blank transparent file. I've attached a video demonstrating what happens when I use it. The image in the video has transparency, but the result is the same when using non-transparent images. I hope this can be fixed soon... Unless there is some preparation I need to perform on the image before using this feature that I am unaware of... The official Affinity Photo documentation doesn't mention anything in particular. 2019-10-24_09-57-53_T.mp4
Hello I used publisher to do a very simple job, to add numbering in a pre-designed invoice pdf so I can print them. The imported pdf is saved from adobe illustrator with text as curves and it only have vectors in it. I import it as link and export it with "nothing to be rasterized" from publisher. The new file is 50 pages of basically the same page with page numbering, black vectors only (opened in designer and illustrator to make sure) but the file size is close to 10mb while a similar pdf saved from indesign is like 200-300kb (which make sense given the vector nature of the contents). What is going on here? Is it possible to reduce the file size? I know we are in an age that 10mb is not a big deal but I tend to keep my file in the cloud and my space there is limited.
Hi everyone, I just got a 12000 pix x 12000pix Psd file from some colleques from Berlin, that do big 3D Rendercompositions, to fulfill the wishes of our architectural company. This psd file has about 3.55 GB, while the saved affinity photo has got about 1.8 GB. So in the computermemory after opening , Photohop uses about 20 GB while affinity uses 6.8 GB.. the opening in PHotoshop takes abut 100 Secounds, while opening the affinity file in affinity, takes about 6 sec. only thing, where Photoshop seeems to win is Viewport speed.. In Photoshop for example i can zoom in and pan fast and smooth... But affinity seems to struggle.. The new areas that come into place at your Viewport are somewhat .. " low resolution rasteriszed" and have to be redrawn first.. so paning around , affinity seems to behave more.. hmm.. slow... because it has to redraw / reconstruct the new immage areas at first... while photoshop handles it fast and smooth even with this szize of Immage and with about 50 to 70 Layer in use... So what did you see here ? Is affinity realy more slow than Photoshop with big documentes, ore can i use some adjustments somewheere in the interface to speed it up ?
