  1. There is a behaviour that I have been experiencing in Affinity Designer that I find a bit frustrating. I can’t figure out if it is intentional (and I should change my working habits) or if it is an error. Here’s what’s happening… If I select an object in the dartboard, hold down shift and press the up or down arrow key on the keyboard, the object will move 10 pixels in that direction. This is what I want. However, I select the same object in the layers panel, hold down shift and then press the up or down key on the keyboard, the object stays in position but the layers above / below are selected. This is not my intention. I would like the ability to locate an object in the layers panel and move it up or down using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Is this an intentional behaviour or is there any likelihood of this being changed? Perhaps there is a setting where I can disable this behaviour? I’m not one to complain. Affinity Designer is an excellent product, I already use it as my main graphics software at home and I’m trying to use it at work to replace Photoshop. Keep up the good work Affinity Designer team! Thanks very much for your help.
  2. Hello! The arrow keys and page up/down could be put to better use in the Layer Studio (or am I missing something?). 1 - When you hover the cursor over the layer studio, arrows and page up/down could select the next/previous item in the list. Left/right arrow keys could move up/down a hierarchy. 2 - Holding some modifier key (SHIFT etc.) while pressing up/down arrows could MOVE the selected element(s) in the list (as opposed to SELECTING next/previous). For both, it should not be necessary to click-set focus on the layer studio. Just hovering should do. Thanks! Best regards
  3. I keep getting a issue with backspace and with the arrow keys when writing, a restart fix it but I keep coming back after a while. Basic when using backspace it create a space and when using the arrow keys it create [] symbol
  4. Is there a way to nudge a layer on the iPad Pro? When I look under the help files on the open screen it mentions it but it doesn't say how to do it. Since there are no arrow keys is it possible?
  5. When you click inside the stroke width textbox, and press the up/down arrow keys, it increases/decreases by one point. The same should happen after clicking on the font size textbox.
  6. I want to keymap "layers" - "arrange move to front/back..." with ctrl + arrow keys up/down. How can I do this? :)
  7. Hi, I experienced the following quite often: when I'm zoomed out, to have a good overview of my doc, I move objects as exactly as I can ... and to make it perfect I zoom in and do the rest. If u use the arrows (Shift+arrows) you will notice that it happens regularly that the when you are zoomed in, the first hit on an arrow will the objects not move 1px as expected - it seems that the distance the object moves, would "match" the distance of the former ZoomLevel or something like that. Cheers, Stefan AD_BugTranslationAfterZoom.mov
  8. Hey folks, just noticed a strange glitch when doing the following steps: open/create a document choose Rectangular Marquee Tool draw a rectangle (leave some space around the borders so there is area for testing) choose Move Tool click on the rectangle (that we just drew on step 3) and drag it somewhere else now, if you use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the object, the object jumps back to its original place and moves from there on. You can repeat this behavior from there and it will occur again and again. I'd be glad to see this fixed :) Best regards, Rorando
  9. Hi, It would be great to have the possibility of increasing or decreasing input values using arrow keys. Presently, you have to either type in a new value or use the slider or side arrows. In Photoshop you can increase font size, for example, by simply pressing and keeping pressed the up or down arrow keys on your keyboard. I find this possibility saves time. https://cldup.com/7sHPBeCqSF-3000x3000.png

    Selection Bugs?

Hi there, I noticed some strange … well, at least they are strange to me … things with selections in Affinity Photo on Yosemite 10.10.4 … yes, I ditched Lion last weekend … ;) First off, when I create a selection by typing Select > Select All, the marching ants are not always shown on each side of my document. But that depends on the zoom level. Now, when I go to Quick Mask mode and transform my selection using the Move Tool, I get the weird behavior shown in my first video ("Quick_Mask_Mode.mov"). I would say this is a bug, but I am not sure. Secondly, when I create a rectangle marquee, switch to the selection brush and try to move my marquee by using the arrow keys, the marquee and the content is shifted and both are shifted not pixel-wise but, I guess, ten-or-twenty-pixel-wise … does that make sense? Please have a look at my second video ("Arrow_Keys.mov") … Cheers, Alex :)
  11. Hi. I've just bought Photo with a view to migrating from Photoshop, which I've been using for years. One of the things I do a lot in Photoshop is select the whole image (Cmd-a) and then shift it one pixel at a time using the arrow keys. When I try to do this in Affinity Photo, the marquee hardly moves at all when using the up or left arrow keys. If I keep the keys depressed, it finally begins to shift. But what I want to do is move it one pixel at a time. Surely this should be possible? I'd appreciate some advice here. Thanks Philip
  12. It's impossible to navigate with arrow keys in the layer menu. Selecting a layer highlights it, pressing "down arrow" moves the layer downward instead of moving the selection one step down. I get the point, and I'm not a professional designer, but it doesn't feel intuitive to me. I'm so used to left/right to expand/contract a group and up/down to move around in any given tree structure.
