This seems like a very minor issue, but it's truly aggravating. I never close windows by "mousing" around having to hit the little green button. I usually always use CMD+W which will close the frontmost window. So, every single time I'm opening the preferences window and hit CMD+W to close it again, Affinity Designer (and Aff. Photo/Publisher, too btw) will try to close the currently open document. This annoys the hell out of me and if there are no unsaved changes it will actually just close the document, leaving the preferences window open. Then I'll have to "mouse around", aim at the small close button for preferences, close that, go to the file menu and reopen the most recent document. This seems like a huge usability oversight. On every other application I know on macOS, preferences windows behave just like any other window, so you can close them via CMD+W.

I just opened the settings menu, and then tried closing the settings window using CMD+W. I was shown a pop-up that asked if I wanted to discard changes, and I thought "No problem, I didn't change any settings". Turns out, I just lost the changes to my document. CMD+W should probably close the settings window, so that other people don't run into this problem.
