  1. Had a linked ADesigner file in a pub. I had previously used the Designer Persona to make a few changes but today discovered that those changes were not made to the original Designer file (also read that in another post here). I thus opened the original Designer file, made the mods by opening the Publisher Edit window/tab for the graphic, then copy/pasting the artwork back into Designer. Then Saved as the original Designer file name. When I went back into publisher, the Resource Manager showed the linked file had been modifies, so I clicked the Update button. Got nothing but a spinning ball. Could not quit nor get out of Publisher, so ended up having to restart the iMac. After restart, I tried again but it once again stalled out. This time I was able to very quickly use the Dock to Force Quit Publisher before it froze the iMac. To resolve the issue, I had to delete the linked graphic from the pub, then Place the file again. Seems to be okay now, but should not do what it did. Also hoping you can get the auto-update to the original file fixed when using the Photo and Designer Personas. Until that's fixed, can't really use the Personas since it isn't updating the linked files.
  2. I made a graphic in afDesigner and then placed it on a afPublisher page as linked. When I double-click to edit it the changes I make are immediately synced and displayed in the Pub-document. Cool! There is no save, I can only close the edit-window. So far-so good. But, the changes are not saved back to the linked file. It's more like it is an embedded copy of the original graphic I created. But most of the time, I want to write the changes back to the original file, like I had done the modification directly in Designer, so it updates in all documents in which this graphic is placed/linked. plus: I don't know why the colours do not match in the preview - like it's RGB and not cmyk?
  3. It's very nice to edit embedded files in Publisher with only a double-click or with clicking the "edit document" button. But if you do that with an linked file, it opens a embedded copy you editing... OK, so far so good. But if you edit the original-file, all changes will be overwritten. Please fix that bug, that the linked original file will open by double-click or editing. Tanks for your great software! Thomas
  4. If to make changes to linked document inside Publisher, and then try to embed this changed linked document, it loses all changes previously done.
