  1. Hello, I noticed that after installing the newest version of Affinity Photo the white balance in in the whole program was of by a significant bit. It's not my Monitor because it only happens in Affinity Photo. Its not only the picture view but also the color picker and other color related tools. When rendering it uses the correct colors so it needs to be a Preview or UI problem. Does anyone had the same problem and knows how to fix it? Thanks in Advance
  2. I m a fairly new user of Affinity and still learning the many features of the program, but am enjoying the experience nonetheless. There is one area that is causing me some frustration. When I open a raw file (select, File., open and file that I have exported to Affinity specific folder), I can perform most editing functions from the options on the right panel. However, after watching I training video about using a layer and sharpening mask i went to open either "Layer" or "Filter" from pull down menu, but both options were not present. Without a file open, My menu shows from left to right: File, Edit, Text, Layer, Document, Select, Arrange, Filters, View, Window, Help. With a file open the Menu show: File, Edit, View, Window, Help. (see attached screen shot) Of course with the few options I am limited to what I can do. Any ideas? All options on Studio are checked and have been reset, but I understand they relate to the right panel anyway. Any help would be most welcome.
  3. When I add a table to my document it never shows the column headers (A, B, C, D, . . . ) or the row numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, . . . ). I can't seem to find a setting to show or hide them. I am running Publisher v 1.7.0.249. I am running Mac OS Mojave.
  4. I use Affinity Photo 1.7.0 for Mac OS and the view tool is constantly hanging. By that I mean that once I use the view tool, I cannot switch to any other tool no matter what. I have to save and close my file and then open it again to get out of the view tool. This happens at random intervals, but is guaranteed to happen every time I use AF. I find this to be a major productivity obstacle. The previous version did this too sometimes, but the upgrade has made it much worse. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  5. Is it possible to set a default view or default zoom value. I like to do most of my work at a zoom level which displays full page width. Can I set some preference so that the template I would start from, or the document I create, will default to that zoom level?
  6. With the abilities to drag and drop, and edit Affinity native file format in both AD and AP, it will be more efficient if these apps could do split view or slide over on iPad. I imagine that it can even do drag and drop not only an image but also layers and vector objects between AD and AP. Here’s my concept below.
  7. I`d like to have the ability to change a view (similar to contour view) but in black and white to check the contrast. I have tried with a B&W layer, but I have to adjust the brightness of individual colors. In the left side is how works this function in photoshop, in the right is with a b&W layes, as you can see the brightness do not correspond to the colors. Thanks
  8. Hi everyone, In PagePlus X9 I could have a multipage view, whereby in the main work window (View > Multipage), the pages would stack themselves side-by-side along rows, and then continue on the next row, varying with the zoom factor applied: effectively, a grid layout. I can't find any way to do the same thing in Affinity Publisher. Can it be done at all, in the main work window? The pages inside it seem to be viewable only in a continuous vertical columnar layout. The attached screenshots will, I hope, illustrate the point. Thanks in anticipation, and happy 2019 to all.
  9. By default, all images are set to fit to the viewport when they are opened. For images that are smaller than the viewport, this leads to a zoom percentage greater than 100%. Personally, I usually prefer images not to be enlarged as it gives a wrong impression about the pixel-level quality. It prevents checking if the file is sharp, while not giving any real benefit since enlarging them does not provide any additional information, unlike in the case of larger-than-screen images. So fitting larger files by default is fine, but I find myself routinely pressing Cmd+1 every time I open a low-res file in Photo.
  10. Hi, it's the second day I'm using AD and I was working on an artwork when out of all sudden it stopped showing the separate nodes. Is it possible that I have pressed something by mistake? And more importantly: how can I (re-)activate the view of the nodes? Thanks a lot in advance!
  11. Hello, first off: wow, this app evolves quite quickly! Kudos to the dev-team. I always work with grids, so I was wondering why it doesn't appear on all pages? Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Screenshot show page 1 & 2 — but the grid only shows on page 1. Made a new document, same problem… kind regards! Benjamin
  12. It would be great if there was an option that would show a 'current view' of the brochure so user can see the progress of his/her brochure, and a 'finished view' option of the brochure would also be great.
  13. Hey everyone! This exists in Photo, it would be useful in Designer as well. Best wishes, Shu
  14. Hi, I'm using an Intuos 5 Touch (PTH-850) and can pinch-zoom and scroll the canvas using two fingers gestures, but rotating doesn't work. I went to shortcuts preferences -> view rotation and tried to change it and it mapped it to Alt+F13 and Alt+F14. And it works but it rotates the canvas in like 30 degree and feels ugly. The smoothest touch controls I experienced with my tablet was in Autodesk Sketchbook (pinch-zoom and rotation), so I don't think there's something wrong with my hardware.
  15. In Adobe you hold Cmd Space to temporarily access the zoom function. This is a tool I use all the time, it is so useful not to have to come out of a text box, hit Z, zoom, and then go back to the text. Zoom to selection helps a bit but isn't the same. Any chance of a key combo for "temporary" access to the zoom?
  16. I would very much like to set column guides on master pages in the spread setup rather than by placing guides by hand on the Master Page. Most DTP app offer this, I know this is a beta and not everything can get done at once but I think the ability to set a master as 2 or 3 or whatever columns with a defined gutter is a fairly essential feature for most users. Also I would like to have a visible bleed guide. Bleed can be set which is great but I like to see a visible guide on the page while working.
  17. I needed to go into separated mode today and was surprised to find that I couldn't get back to the normal view later. If I select merge under the window menu the checkmark remains on separated mode. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? I don't use separated mode enough to know if this behavior is unusual. Seems like it should just snap back into the view that is just windows in front of a blank background rather then seeing all my other app windows behind me.
  18. It would be very useful to have 2 additional commands under the View menu's zoom section: 1. Fit Height would zoom the view to fit the height of the current image 2. Fit Width would zoom the view to fit the width of the current image Thanks for your consideration and all the amazing work you do.
  19. Hi there, Would anybody else find it useful to have a key command to hide all vector outlines & nodes (& bounding boxes too) without deselecting the item, nor changing tools? It's easier to judge your final result without the distraction of the "back-room mechanics" on top of your stroke. I remember using that kind of Hide command back in Adobe days. Just pressing Spacebar for a momentary Hand tool _almost_ does the trick. But not if you're adjusting the item's stroke or brush or layer fx properties in a dialog – then Spacebar doesn't work. So you have to judge your adjustments with the nodes & outlines obscuring your edges (with Pen or Node tool selected, at least). And if you switch to a different tool that hides outlines & bounding box, then your pen or node tool parameter ribbon goes away. All these issues would be resolved with an additional View ->View Mode: Artwork/Result Only. Thanks in advance for considering it!
  20. I would like to see two or four split view option in affinity photo, this would optimize the workflow a lot.
  21. I am an InDesign (user look to switch) working in the Publisher beta for the first time and I'm enjoying getting the hang of the processes. How can i show the content boxes around each individual asset; whether it is a text box, an image, or a shape? I am used to this in my work flow from InDesign and it would be nice if there was a way to turn this visual on. Let me know if you have any info on this! Thanks.
  22. I do so like this publisher so far. I would like to make a feature suggestion, I apologise if it is already available and I have overlooked the option. I want to be able to view the document in a gallery style mode as per similar to I design. Both with and without bleed margins that would be good.
  23. Would be extremely useful to be able to set just a key shortcut (e.g. F1, F2, B, N, M, etc.) for viewing only a specific layer. Why would users need this? It would be extremely useful when tracing images so we can go back and forth between the source/reference image and what we are illustrating/vectorizing. It can be useful for users that draw after reference photos, so they need to see the reference photo instantly and go back to drawing. Why only one shortcut? / You can't just go and put the reference layer as the top layer and hide (uncheck) and show (check) whenever you want? It would be faster and more handy to have a simple one key shortcut like B or F3 that we can press to view the reference. If we don't press that shortcut anymore, it should go back (hide the reference photo/layer). Here's how it could work: So when the person presses the F3 key, it could show the reference layer. Could be also used for Before/After viewing of a design/illustration/painting/image/etc. What's your opinion on this? It should be implemented?

    Perspective Grid

Hello. I proposed a new mesh functionality with a perspective setting. For now, I created such a net by hand: Designia_Perspective_Grid.afassets Regards example:
  25. Hello Affinity. I would like to propose a new document grid. Is there a chance to add a perspective grid, making it easier to create drawings using perspective? This grid was introduced in ArtRage 5 and it is very useful. For now, I created this grid by hand: Designia_Perspective_Grid.afassets Best Regards
