  1. Does anyone have experience of sublimating via Affinity Designer 2 on an iPad? I’m trying to print tiles to go with a wallpaper I designed. The wallpaper uses the same hex code colours, so they need to match. The wallpaper printed just as expected from the screen colours (but via Contrado, not printing at home). I have printed tiles before using this Epson ET-2720 printer, but using photoshop on a pc and I can’t remember what I did for colour settings. I downloaded a couple of ICC profiles which should be compatible with my printer but they turn the screen pink and the palette more red, and they also sublimate too red (so it’s not correcting a printer bias). The standard srgb profile was better but not right 🤷🏻‍♀️ Apple RGB is closest but again too different against the wallpaper I’ve tried to adjust the colours rather than the ICC eg CMYK/RGB, more blue, more cyan, less red, 95% opacity etc etc but haven’t found the solution this way. We’ve done various things on the printer eg power clean, nozzle check, changed ink. It can test print the colours ok.
  2. New to the forum and this software but I just started doing sublimation and have a few questions if any one can offer some insight, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm having issues with getting color profile correct, one print I did on metal was absolutely great, another on wood, looked very bright and off. I am using an Epson WF-7710, Affinity Photo and Printers Jack Ink (I have contacted Printers Jack, their response was that I do not need an ICC profile, just save and print), I tried their recommendation and was not impressed, it looked very dark. I went on Epson for a profile but my country (USA) does not come up in the drop box? Has anyone used Printers Jack Ink and have these issues? I did try a couple of color profiles, and thought I had it right with the metal print but then had the wood come out off. Thank you for any help.
  3. Hi, Can anyone tell me the correct settings to setup Affinity Photo/Designer for Sublimation printing, so to get the colours right. I use Sawgrass Inks, SG400 printer, iMac. I know for Windows based systems they use ICC profiles, but I currently use Photoshop on Mac which uses a driver and wish to make the change to Affinity!
  4. Good Morning, I just starting doing some sublimation printing at home and was looking to see if anyone had success with matching up color profiles to get good prints from the Epson 7720 with Asub paper 120g ? If so could you share your setups inside affinity designer (MAC USER)
  5. Does anyone know the correct/best settings for colour and document settings using affinity designer on windows for printing to sawgrass sg500 print manager?
  6. Hi Everyone!, I posted on here awhile ago about sublimation issues, I finally got the problems solved BUT, since the new update, all of my colors are way off, very blue looking and flesh colors are awful....does anyone know what changed to make my ICC look so terrible, is there a setting I need to switch? I am using Epson Workforce 7100 series printer and Printer Jack Ink. TYIA!
  7. Hi!I bought Affinity Designer to use with sublimation. The problem is that the colours come out way to dark. See the photos. I have used the same printer with the same settings. Do you know why this happens and how i can fix it? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Anette IMG_20191112_0001.pdf IMG_20191112_0002.pdf
  8. For the life of me I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong with my printer profile. I am using Sawgrass Virtuoso 400 and I had been expecting to see it listed as a choice when using an adjustment layer for soft proofing. I had tried printing through the Sawgrass VPM but the colours are frustratingly wrong and I am totally out of ideas. As I am very green when it comes to these types of technical issues, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Can you for photo, designer or both add the ability to create mockups. Don’t mind how this is done, add smart objects like ps or in an even better quicker way. As someone that does sublimation printing as my business I can’t give up ps until affinity has a good way of wrapping designs around mugs an other drink ware . I don’t even mind if you make this a completely new program that can integrate with photo and designer. Call it Affinity Sub or something!
  10. Hello Guys, First, I'm pretty exited to know Affinity products will be joining the awesome iOS platform. Second, the industry of custom design, home decor, car wraps ...etc. is growing fast and steadily with no signal on slowing down! Part of it, is companies like Summa, Graphtec, Epson supporting the Apple ecosystem. So, technology that was reserved for entrepreneurs with big brick mortar spaces, is reaching really fast, millions of graphic designers, creatives with small studio space or even a small spare bedroom like in my case. Professional plotters, sublimations printers, professional heat presses, have become more and more accessible to us in terms of prices. Unfortunately, most of Mac support is via Illustrator plugins, but Graphtec, Summa at least provide good native Mac apps to control their products. Some companies even "Bluetooth" connectivity like Provo Craft & Novelty, Inc with its Cricut plotter. Well, I would love to see plugins for Affinity Designer or Serif (Europe) Ltd, trying to offer a solution, since Affinity Designer contains everything that a designer need to create, cut, sublimate and press, their designs using this kind of technology. And must of graphics designer this days are switching to other great alternatives for vector design, the core for "plotters" or "cutters" Thanks.
  11. Hi, we have just purchased Affinity Designer and Photo to use with a sublimation printer Ricoh SG7100DN and a Sefa heat press. We have installed the Sawgrass colour profiles and used them to print out the photo to add to coasters. The issue is the blacks are printing red/brown and this happens when we print black ink work illustrations. Please can anyone help with the settings? Attached are the screenshots of document preferences and document setup for printing. The screenshots include the photos we are using. The last one is of the coasters showing the colour issues. Any help much appreciated as this is new venture for us. Thanks Jo & Andy
