  1. Hello Affinity, I would like to give you my money NOW. I really don't want to pay Sketch or Figma or inVision or Adobe XD or Framer X or Protopie or Webflow or UX Pin. I would love to buy a software from Affinity that enables the prototyping feature. Maybe a merge between Personas with added plugin to buy. OR maybe call the software Affinity Prototype or Affinity Interactive or Affinity Hybrid. I have been creating lots of Websites and User Interfaces, but I can't quickly prototype it to get my idea across. I have been working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of 50 designers/developers/business analysts. And when it's time for me to pitch I have to manually go into my Visual Studio Code Editor and create it from scratch using CSS and JavaScript. Still waiting for release date, Thank you
  2. Hi I think I already wrote something similar but I think it is pretty important for us and you hehehe. I seriously think that Affinity Designer with an interactions/prototyping persona could be a huge step and asset for you guys and us as users. Considering the popularity of Sketch and additionnaly Invision or Flinto and also the new tool of Adobe Experience Design. If you add this kind of persona you will certainly gain a good spot in the market. But at the end it is simply my opinion. https://www.flinto.com/ https://www.invisionapp.com/ http://www.adobe.com/ca_fr/products/experience-design.html Thank You and again keep up the good work
  3. Hi Everyone, I use Affinity Designer daily, mostly on the side of the web development I do. I have been waiting for a feature since the dawn of time, I kind of gave up looking for information on it in 2017 but its now 2020! Can we please have a prototyping persona? Something similar to Adobe XD. I know the capable people at Serif can do this. You had a web plus at one point. I mean, you could argue that it should be a new application but you could just make it a persona. I create all my icons, illustrations, elements etc in affinity designer and have to copy them over in to XD. I dont want to use Adobe XD when there could be a first party solution. I read before on another thread that it was added as a disabled feature in 1.6 Beta. with 1.8 approaching. Can we expect to see it? Id take just basic clickable links and buttons to navigate for now. Not fussed about transitions. Maybe the ability to record when you click through the prototype in preview mode.
  4. Hi it is my second post here like I said in my first post about 3D import for texture like a Maya or Maya LT or 3DS Max project, I just found out about that software/tool. So here's my question is there any chance for Flinto and other interactive prototyping tools support or plug-in with Affinity Designer? It could be so awesome. I am currently looking for a new set of tools for my workflow, and I'll be so happy if I could reduce the amount of tools I am working with as an interactive and immersive designer. So if Affinity can be really good for UX/UI design, concept art and 3D texture and color...and prototyping support than I'll say goodbye to Adobe. Thank You Oh by the way guys I forgot in my first post to say GREAT JOB and keep going, even if I buy it or not I think you still did a good job and this is good to put more tools in the market so that designers and creators have more choice for their creativity. 5. Hi guys, I read in an older topic that 1.6 would bring prototyping. Is that still the case? Any ETA on that? That would really be extremely helpful. And I'm not talking about invision type prototyping, which is very basic, I'm talking about real multi level prototyping, not just changing a screen, but hiding showing objects with gestures, adding layers to a screen prototype, manipulating layers instead of whole screens, etc. Please say it will happen soon
  6. Hello, guys! The following questions are aimed just to pleasure my own curiosity, but you can as well see them as requests. 1. Are you guys planning on bringing some kind of UX prototyping directly in AD? Be it with AD's own tools or opening the program for plugins? I've had AD for a while now and I'm really happy with what it gives me and that raises the question "what next?". I've seen the roadmap on this forum, but I'm really wondering if some UI/UX prototyping is planned at all? Maybe a different persona, maybe a different app? 2. This maybe is something even bigger than UI/UX, but will there be any sort of cloud sync? By any means I know it can't be like CC, but something that syncs our assets like brushes, fonts, etc? As I said, I saw the roadmap and I know that these things aren't there, but the main question is are they considered for future additions? Bottom line - I'm really, really happy with AD. For the past few days I'm doing all of my work inside it and I'm not having any problems at all. Well, I still can't afford the luxury to delete Ps and Ai, mainly because of some work collaborations with people that use them, but if you keep up the good work and if AD continues to improve compatibility with Adobe apps, I can surely see myself buying Photo too and ditching all of the Adobe apps. I hope someone from the devs will give at least some partial info on this :) Have a great day, guys!
  7. Hi, I'm doing my 100UI project, and I use framer to make it interactive. But sometime it's too much complicated and surplus, I want some feature can make my single pic to become a gif or other file that can interact. If Affinity doesn't hv this feature plan, thanks for any suggestion to make interactive design tool.(I use framer, sketch, javascript) Thanks again!!!
  8. Sketch is top of App in UI design, but I still think Affinity Designer is better than Sketch. I'm trying framer that's a prototype tool has a plugin to Sketch and PS. Do you have any solution about transfer AD's work to other prototype tool? Or do you have any plain to design some like AE, then I can do my all prototype work on Affinity. Thanks!
  9. Hey all! I'm trying to get off of Adobe. One of the big things left that I use it for is importing videos of prototypes, putting them in phone/computer skins, and then exporting the new videos for clients/my portfolio. Can you do this in either of the Affinity products? If so, which ones? Thanks!
  10. It would be nice if AD could create interactive prototypes for wire frameing. This could be handled by attaching actions to objects and then turning on / off certain layers. You could also allow the action to go to a different page or artboard (I know artboards are still coming). You could export the whole thing as an interactive SVG for viewing in a browser, or export as html. As many designers use multiple tools to handle this already, you would be doing everyone a service by combining all the tools in one. Just my opinion.
