Hi all, I've just purchased the Distress Press distressing addon for Affinity Photo and for the life of my cannot locate the "Distressing Template" that seems to be a necessary part of the effects process and as used in the True Grit tutorial video. The brushes and macros are all present. Am I missing something obvious here? Could someone who has Distress Press point me direction in this template. Thanks, Anthony

Hi, I have a simple question. I am trying to set up a picture book in the Affinity Publisher Beta edition. I want to make a text box on several of the pages that are fixed and always placed in the same place on the page. This is important since the text in the book must be placed the same way on all pages. I have created a text box, placed it as desired and tried to copy this text box into the next pages - but the result is that a new text box pops up at a random place on the page. Is there any easy way to create a fixed template for where the text on the page should be placed? Thanks in advance.

The Affinity team think in a add a options for can use duotones (monotone, tritone) images? This is a missing great feature needed for print designs in a few separate spot colors. The color mode right now can't be used in Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo. I wait for you help.

Last December me and two colleagues were featured in a newspaper article about calligraphers, type designers and letterers in our town (Florianópolis, Brazil). The editor also invited us to create the cover for the art supplement. Each of us took a word of the title and did it according to our speciality. Hello all, I've been using Affinity Designer for the past couple of weeks and, liking it so far, I'd like to use it as my main illustration / design tool. On a recent project where I decided to ditch other tools in favour of the Affinity suite (so far), I've run into an issue exporting pdf files to send to the print shop (press or prepress ready): Can Designer export radial gradients in CMYK to pdf? I've tried using the Export tool, selecting PDF, without rasterising anything or compressing images, using 300dpi (document resolution) and embedded or selected colour profiles, but I still can't get a radial gradient to show. The only way to do it is allowing for gradient rasterisation, which affects vector fidelity. Is this a program bug to be worked on in future updates, or am I doing something wrong? *EDIT: I've just read on another thread that this is an issue with radial gradients with more than 2 colour stops, and attached a file to illustrate the problem. Hello, My name is Kuba, I'm from Poland, and i work in local Radio. When working on my materials for job, i have to make not only audio recordings, but also some photos for online post at our website. I'm doing best i can, and recently my friend told me to start signing my photos, so everyone can know who's the author. Trust me, it's very important to have signed photos. My mentioned friend got a better job, because he was signing his photos, and somebody found him this way... Lets go back to my topic. When i'm adding some simple text i often have some problems. Some pictures are different size, because of necessary cropping, and pasting puts them in some weird locations. same applies for vertical photos. They are not so common, but sometimes i have to do something in portrait mode, so i have to add watermark by hand, and it's not very precise. When you're scrolling through the online gallery, and all watermarks are in different places and sizes it looks very cheap and unprofessional. I'd love to see some simple tool for watermarking witch would allow me to: - Add preset watermark to picture; ^ In set place(i.e. 10% of picture from bottom and 10% of picture from right. Every picture is different resolution, so pixels might not work for watermarking) - Set global size of my watermark (So that regardless of resolution watermark always looks the same, i.e. 5% of picture overall space) I mean by this, that for example my watermark is set in lower right corner with 10% of picture border from bottom and right. and in picture in 1000x1500 it takes as much overall space in % as in 4000x6000 resolution picture. Sorry for my not perfect english, as i mentioned i'm from Poland... Feel free to comment, add suggestions, your experiences or tips for watermarking in the comments section. If you think this could be a great tool, but have something more specific to add, say it! Maybe someone at Affinity will read this and give us a great tool? Who knows...

I had a bit of trouble with the toggle shortcuts that I often iterative press it when my computer is slowing down to make sure that I am in that tool. The shortcuts seem not precise for me, then I try to turn it off in the Tools Shortcuts settings but I cannot. Is it can turn off for 1.4.2 or Beta Version? Please help me. Thank you.
