  1. Hi guys, Can I create a pie chart from a SINGLE pie/donut tools, without duplicating them? Thank you
  2. I'm a beginner and I have a question. As shown in the picture in the appendix, I try to make a pie chart with text in the pie slices. Each pie slice should have two-line text. And of course I would like every text right in the middle of the pair. Both horizontally and vertically. I think I have to make a new circle path for every line of text and I don't know how to calibrate the middle. Perhaps there is a way to do this more practically and efficiently. Can anyone help me with this please? thank you in advance
  3. Designed to help you create balanced asymmetric designs and patterns, the third class in the Golden Ratio series has just been released on Skillshare. Note: Permission to use the Affinity Designer logo has been obtained. Premium Link: If you already have a Skillshare Premium account, use this link: skl.sh/2D0QUPx If you want to sign up to Skillshare Premium to watch any class, use the same link skl.sh/2D0QUPx. At the time of writing, sign up and receive the first two months membership free. Cancel any time during the first two months. Free Link: Alternatively, the first ten people to use the following link will have free access to this class: skl.sh/2SrPnX1 Note: This free-access link is set to expire at the end of November 2018. With an Affinity Designer file and examples included with the class, you can get up to speed with the golden ratio and learn how easy it is to introduce a sense of harmony and cohesion to your work; no matter how simple or complex. Learning to apply the golden ratio to your work couldn’t be easier. The class is 33 minutes in duration and an Affinity Designer template file is included. To make the creation of these patterns easy, we will be exploring Affinity Designer’s Donut and Pie tools. We will also play around with the Cog tool; one of Affinity Designer's parametric shapes. The cog tool is so versatile, you’ll be wondering why you haven’t been using it. So Now There are Three Want to know more about how you can make the most of the golden ratio, check out all three classes: – Asymmetrical Drawing & Lettering with the Golden Ratio skl.sh/2JZ4h2Y – Create a Vintage Style Logo from Concentric Circles and the Golden Ratio skl.sh/2P7B08J – Concentric Radial Patterns & Infographics with the Golden Ratio skl.sh/2D0QUPx Note: All three classes feature Affinity Designer.
  4. Pie tool is great when I know the angle I want. But sometimes I want to snap to a line, like measuring out the angle between two intersecting lines when I don’t know the angle between those two lines. The pie tool node only snaps to common angles. It doesn’t snap to paths when you cross them. Even if you place another shape with a corner at exactly the intersection of the air and the pine, the pie node doesn’t pick it up. Is there any technique I am missing?
  5. First off let me say that I love the feature of the ellipse tool, specifically the donut and pie features. I'm currious, in regards to the pie feature, do we have the option of removing the line connecting accross the ellipse, basically opening up the shape? CorelDRAW has this feature where when you drag the ellipse open, if you currsor is on outside of the ellipse the line goes away and if you are inside it stays. Of course Illustrator has the feature that allows you to change the thinkness of a line anywhere on the line, kind of line using the Pressure tool in AD. I find these features helpful when creating think/thin lines for technical illustrations. Please see attached illustration. The blue line has no connector line going across the major axis.
  6. How can I make the hole radius of a pie absolute? I want to have it absolute to restrict the thickness of the pie to us the same thickness an a smaller radius. I could do this with a stroke, but I can't use a stroke with boolean operations the way I want. Is there any way to do this? As you can see in the screenshot, the thickness of the ring with the smaller radius is thinner. But I want to keep it at the same thickness as the one with the bigger radius.
  7. Affinity Designer - Pie Hole Radius in pt instead of percent or choosable measuring unit would be beautiful! Great Great Software! Great Great GUI! Jørn
