  2. Hi, when I select a node there is no way to see what type od node it is. Can it be corrected?
  3. So, because I didn't get an answer to this question, I am forced to start a new topic about it: Is it possible to make any number of Adjustment and Live Filter Layers to be opened simultaneously? This way fine tuning of photos would be much easier and faster.
  4. I recently purchased these two applications because I'm looking into university courses to do with graphic design etc. I'd like to pursue a career in this field. Sadly I'm rather new to all this. I've looked at the tutorials that Affinity give you for these two applications via their website and via their apps, both the written and video format. However I don't find them to be that helpful and because of that I was curious if there is anywhere online that can provide me with more in-depth tutorials? If there isn't, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop are the most popular applications that are similar to Affinity Designer & Photo but are they similar enough to where I could watch tutorials for Illustrator & Photoshop then use what I learnt from that and put it into practice in Affinity Designer & Photo? Also, I know Affinity provide coffee table style books for these applications (no PDF versions available) but they would cost around £80 for the set and right now I can't see the justification for it, at least for me, unless the books really are the best option for tutorials. Keep in mind though that I'm using a 12'7 iPad Pro, not a desktop. Yes I have the Apple Pencil, don't worry. If anyone can provide me with links, advice or just point me in the right direction it would be extremely helpful.

    Problem with Wacom Tablet

Hi! I report a problem with the Wacom Intuos Pro M tablet in Affinity Photo 1.6.4.104. Sometimes when I use a brush, the line does not show up, although I can use the "Undo" option. It only helps to restart the application. Yesterday I had to restart 3 times, today two*. Horribly annoying. I have up-to-date tablet drivers (6.3.30-6) #1 Edit *three times
  7. Hi, 1. Is it possible to make Develop Persona to be directly available for any kind of photo formats, not only for RAW? Maybe to add all the features into Studio Palettes? Some RAW specific features could be added into Adjustment or Live Filter Layers. 2. Is it possible to make any number of Adjustment and Live Filter Layers to be opened simultaneously? This way fine tuning of photos would be much easier and faster.
  8. Does anyone happen to know of an equivalent of Photoshop's "Layer Mask from Transparency" function in Affinity Photo? It converts the transparency of a layer to a layer mask, and removes the transparency from the original layer. In PhotoLine this is achieved by creating a new layer mask based on alpha. In Gimp there's the option to transfer a layer's alpha channel to a layer mask when a new layer mask is added to a layer with transparency. To be clear, this function removes the transparency from the original layer, and transfers the alpha channel data to a layer mask. It's a very basic option, and ought to be possible somehow in Affinity Photo, but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to accomplish this. Help is very much appreciated: I've been fiddling around for an hour now, and it's probably so obvious that I am looking past it.
  9. I had to do a reinstall of windows and so don't have my fonts actually installed. Not sure I want to since I have so many. I have had programs in the past where I could just double click on a font name and have that MS viewer pop up and then go back into my program (without restarting the program) and the font would be in the list. I'm not seeing that with designer. Can it do that? Do I need to make it refresh the fonts? How? Sig
  10. Hi, in Photoshop when we enter values in any field in "Image Size..." all other values are automatically changed, which is not a case in Photo. There is also "Reset" option when ALT button is pressed. Can we expect these changes in v. 1.7 in Photo?
  11. Hi, In Sketch and Photoshop it's possible to make timeline animations. Are there any plans for Affinity? I'm talking about something like this: https://timeline.animaapp.com/ Regards, David

  15. Hello everyone, From today i believe i have to start sharing few of our design works (actually i'm working alone but i do build a team from time to time depending on project size ) Most of our client/requesters are Church based and we really enjoy doing stuffs for them but what you will se here is more about Smarty Studio standing with other studio/teams together into what is to become Congolese Design Style. Well each country have it's own style of design but Congo doesn't have a proper thus most of Congolese designers simply clone/copy styles from everywhere. This is a beginning, please your inputs on each design palet/kit will be of great help and will help us improving better. Blessings !
  16. Using AP 1.6.4.104 on Win10 Pro 64-bit (build 17134.228), running 32GB on AMD Ryzen 5 1600 six-core at 3.20GHz) I was learning from your tutorials and when learning about masking when I used the Flood Seletion tool, AP appeared to stall with the message of "Not Responding" at the top of the screen. Can't believe I don't have enough memory, so what could it be. Only AP and Firefox (v.61.0.2, 64bit) are running. Any thoughts???

  18. Is there a way to change the default position of the transform anchor point in Designer and Photo to not be at the top left but rather in the center?
Danke Hello, I have installed Affinity Photo 1.6.4.104 (Windows 7). When opening and editing an image, I have the following problem. If a panel on the right side opens above the image to be edited, this panel blurs the image when moving the panel. If I then make a click with the left mouse button, the entire picture can be recognized again. I have attached a hard copy. What could that be ?? I can not find a solution. Since I'm not very strong in English, I have the post once in German and once attached in translated English. Thank you
  20. Is there a way to draw triangles with a precise set of angles in Affinity Designer/Photo for iPad. For example, suppose I want a triangle with a top corner angle of 75°. How would I create that triangle to spec? Sorry if I’m overlooking something simple. Thanks in advance for the advice. I tried to research this basic point. So far I’ve come up with nothing.
  21. Hello I noticed that changing the DPI without resampling doesn't work in Photo 1.4.1. Example: When opening a JPG in Photo, and changing the DPI in Image resizing, I uncheck the resample checkbox because I just want the DPI changed, not the actual height or width. I then save or export the JPG and close it. When I open the JPG again and check its DPI, the number has been reset to its original DPI. I quickly tested this in Affinity Designer but couldn't reproduce the problem there.
  22. Hello everyone! I'm new to the Affinity scene and love it so far. I've been a Lightroom user for years and decided that it's time to put the presets and sliders aside for a while and really take control of my editing. Enter Affinity. The purpose of this thread is to discuss workflows used when editing multiple photos from a photoshoot. I can't seem to figure out a truly effective way to edit 50+ photos without creating a mess. Any pointers, videos, web articles, or books are welcome. Thank you all for the support and I look forward to reading your responses.
  23. Hi, is it possible to display rectangles in the text for the language that is not supported by the font (like in InDesign) instead displaying the text with some default font (like MS Word)? Or even better. Dim the fonts that don't support the currnet language (detected by the active keyboard) and jump them, just like CorelDRAW does. As it is now, I think that all the fonts support Macedonian language, that is not true. There are just a few.

  25. Hi, QuarkXPress and InDesign have global colors by default. Why Affinity apps use "static" colors beside global? Why don't you remove them?
