  1. Transparent PNG export used to be trivial with Paintshop Pro 9 - PNG export asked what colour I wanted to be transparent, and that was sorted. But I'm struggling with Affinity Photo (and Designer - I have and use both). Example: I have a JPG snippet of music score - black notes on white background. I simply want to invert to white notes, and export a PNG where the resultant (black) background is clear, for use as an overlay image in a video project. I start with document option for transparent background checked. I can apply an Invert adjustment to get white notes on black background, but where do I go from there? I cannot find any blend options that turn the black clear, and there is no 'this colour will be transparent' option in any PNG export dialogue, as far as I can see. This is such a fundamental procedure that I'm sure it must be explained somewhere but, for the life of me, I can't find it. Any ideas? Thanks! Alan
  2. Hi there, using Affinity Designer 1.5.3. (also recognized on 1.5.1)- Description: When I make a graphics (I use artboards) and want to export it- the size is wrong. The real artboard size is for example: 20 x 40px. On exporting (png) it is 20x41px. This happens every time. I have to adjust every sprite in size for exporting, else it wont fit. I recognized this since the 1.5 update. Screenshot attached I attached a Screenshot to verify. In the Transform-Panel to the right bottom you can see the real artboard size. in the top-middle the export panel shows a different size, it is always 1 pixel difference!. This small bug causes a lot of trouble. using Mac OSX Sierra If I can provide any informations which might be helpful please ask! You make awesome software! :) with best regards, Sam
  3. Hello, i got the problem that all artboards are correct aligned pixel based, but the export sizes are allmost 1px off to the values displayed. I created a demo file here with a small amount of artboard. I got many more in the real file. I think this is a bug. If you need a bigger file please tell me. All artboards are 815px x 1110px. Thanks for any hint what's wrong with it. Cheers, Torsten PS: I use Affinity Designer 1.4.1 from App Store - no beta currently. demothings3.afdesign
  4. Hello everyone, When I export via cmd + s or export persona: PNG files are always blurry / seems to be bad quality rendering. I'm exporting tiny png s with sizes 20x50 to 100x70 etc. @300dbi I also tried creating a file at the same size as export. Same result. I used the pixel Persona to get 100% pixelperfection, colores are blurred , textured too. see attachement Any suggestions on it? I can't really use the tool until this works, I do not changed any settings.
  5. Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm having major problems with exporting my files as png/pdf. During export AD basically freezes. I read that it is most likely a MAC update problem; they've completely dropped the ball these past few updates. I have Affinity Design 1.3.5 and I downloaded Beta 1.3.5.1 - is there another AD out there? Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to export my images, as I am in crunch to get my logo on product labels and displays? Thanks!
