Patrick C posted a topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer on DesktopHi, I create UI for work and we often have reusable elements in our designs; when these are exported they have the same name but different X Y coordinates on the page. I'd like to start using Affinity for this but there is a slight issue. Currently when Affinity exports two Slices with the same name, it adds a number to the file name of the repeat slices. Is there a way to disable/override this? My goal is to have only one of the repeat slices exported but still have the coordinates for each in the Batch Builder export. Also it would be great to have some more advanced control on the Batch Builder presets in future hehe
Windows 10 Home 1809, Publisher 220.127.116.11. There are plenty of ways to apply a paragraph style while preserving character formatting but I can't seem to find a way of quickly overriding all of the formatting. I've found that I can apply the paragraph style and then apply the [No Style] character style afterwards but that sounds like going the long way round. All I want to do is just "blast" the text with the paragraph formatting and completely wipe any character/local formatting that was already applied. It seems to me that, at the moment, "Apply ... to Paragraphs" and "Apply ... to Paragraphs And Preserve Character Formatting" do the same thing as I've never noticed a difference in their functionality. Am I looking at this wrong, is there something I'm missing, or is this a bug or incomplete functionality?
ostonica posted a topic in (Pre 1.7) Bugs on WindowsThe upcoming Creator's edition of Windows 10 has a new feature that greatly improves DPI scaling for High DPI tablets. It's in the Compatibilty settings under Properties in the Context Menu for the application. The new setting is to override high DPI scaling behaviour and use System(enhanced) for DPI scaling. The other override options are to use Application or System for High DPI scaling. It works really well with Photoshop CS6 with the program opening full screen on my Surface Pro 4 and the menu text is much crisper now. But that setting does not work with the Affinity Photo. The application window opens really small and off the screen slightly. Using the setting System rather than System(enhanced), APh opens full screen, but the menu text is not nearly as crisp as it would be with System (Enhanced) It would be great to see this fixed when the Creator's edition is officially launched. My tests were with this week's release of Windows 10 build 15046 Like This Jim
