  1. Hi everyone, new Affinity Designer since yesterday here I'm currently working on my first project with the tool and have encountered something strange. I'd like to use to outer shadows for some text elements. This works quite well, unless I put some black background behind the text. Then the outer shadow (no matter which color it has) is not being displayed. It seems, like the shadow is hidden behind the background color. When I export the file as a PDF, the outer shadow is back again, both on the white and the black background. I attached 2 screenshots to show you the problem. Is this a bug or is there any setting I need to change, so the outer shadow is always shown, no matter which background color I use? Thanks in advance! 2. Hi there, I'm trying to expand the outer shadow I've applied to an object so it can be manipulated independently of the source object. e.g. I have a vector of a windmill, I apply the outer shadow to the windmill, expand the outer shadow to its own layer, add a shear to the outer shadow to add perspective to the shadow. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Best, J
  3. A bug occurs when a masked object overlaps a shadowed object. The mask invades the space of the shadow, no mater if it is grouped or not. This bug does not happen with stable version 1.6x I am using AD 1.7.0.258 Obs: This bug occurs with AP beta too. 4. Hi, As you can see with the attached images, the rendering of the same text or shape tools on Designer and Photo are not the same. There are extra white pixels on the Photo version. Same problem with Outer glow Settings: Opacity:100% Radius: 20.5 px Offset: 47,4 px Angle: 270 Thanks!
  5. Hi! When I increase intensity in layer effects such as outer glow and outer shadow, especially more than 90%, color softness decreases and colors in borders become jagged and stepped; and It occurs in both pixel and curve layers! Versions tested: 1.5.0.23 beta, 1.0.5.26 beta
  6. Hi I have a logo which I have designed in Xara, and I have imported it as a pdf into Affinity Designer, because I need to change the logo. I have changed the logo and I have used an outline shadow fx as a drop shadow. Now I try to resize the logo to exact dimensions, because I need to export it as a png in different sizes. But the resize does not take the shadow fx into consideration. When I resize the logo to 165 x 95 and then go to the export persona to create a slize, the slize becomes much larger because the resize does not take the fx drop shadow into consideration. Is there a fast way you can resize to exact pixel dimensions when you use a fx, like the outer shadow?
