    For anyone who misses the instant artist feature from Serif PhotoPlus I have discovered a free stand-alone replacement. It is called Fotosketcher and can be downloaded here. Sadly it is Windows only. https://fotosketcher.com/ This should keep some users going until Affinity Photo gets its own internal artist photo processing features. I have included an example water colour style image on this post to show its possibilities.

    Am really pleased to see Serif on Macs having worked previously with PhotoPlus, and this new programme is excellent so far. As a real low-brow I was sorry not to find the Instant Artist effects available - or did I miss them? I really enjoying mucking around in Van Gogh mode etc. Have I missed them or will they be available as future add ons? PS I do realise this is a professional piece of kit and I am outing myself as a complete amateur ... but thanks anyway.

    HI Am just transferring to Mac from windows. Have used Photoplus for some time. Is Affinity the best match to this and can I get instant artist effects? Thanks.
