  1. Hey @ll, it would be SO nice, if I could mark an object or several objects, do a right-click and could choose my existing Groups to move the object/s into one of this groups. Please add this future into Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher! Thanks a lot... Nice greatings from Germany...
  2. I'm trying to expand or collapse a set of selected layers/groups from the Layers Studio, but Affinity apps don't allow me to do this en masse. My file has over 700 layers/groups and this is VERY tedious. Could you please add this functionality, in the same way changing visibility or locking layers en masse currently functions? Simply put, if I have a bunch of layers selected and I click the triangle to expand or collapse, apply that toggle to ALL selected layers, just like Visibility and Lock icons do. Another level of functionality for power users would include expanding or collapsing ALL layers/groups (even those nested within currently selected layers/groups) while holding down the Option or Control keys on the keyboard. These small things really make a huge difference in speed of workflow and productivity. Thanks for your consideration and all you do!
  3. HI I've checked the forum and did not find the answer to this, I'm trying to group several adjustment layers and standard layers while recording my macro, but I cannot select the layers individually in the layers panel to group them i get this popup asking me to pick a single layer. When i use the "select - select all layers" command it works, but when i run the macro (on a new file with multiple layers), any layer that is not locked gets placed in the group the macro created (i don't want this). Am i missing something, is there a better way to select the layers and group them while recording a macro? Forgot to mention i'm running affinity photo 1.7.3.481
  4. Hello there, today I stumbled upon curious problem. I made a few adjustments to final layer and whenever I put those adjustments into group final result is changed. Is this intended or I don't know... ? See gif below Using latest version of AP (1.7.3.481)
  5. I want to edit the color of multiple objects at the same time, independently of their color, Gradients, stroke, transparency, etc Something like this: In illustrator there was two diferent ways to accomplish that, including other modifications available (As saturation and brightness for example), with its own settings panel Do Affinity Designer have a tool/feature that allow to modify the color of one or many objects to other colors?
  6. SVG format does not save Adjustments added The adjustments are gone after I export using SVG format Could provide a AFDESIGN file for the staff if required to replicate the bug When you open the SVG file saved, the adjustments are gone, removed

    Falha no agrupar

Quando agrupo o desenho com bitmap em mas erro ao agrupar.mp4 cara, o desenho vai para o lado, segue o vídeo.
  8. I've noticed an odd behaviour in the attached Affinity Designer file. The objects on the page are all the right way up (no rotation). However if I group any of them together the group shows as rotated 180 degrees. Logo Flip When Group.afdesign
  9. Hey guys, I was recently designing a brochure in Publisher and I was simply trying to scale a group but for whatever reason it was not working how I thought it should work. Example - I had 2 placed images, a vector curve and some copy and headline text in a group. I wanted to scale the group proportionally and make it bigger, but when I did so the images and the vector curve scaled correctly and the headline text and copy pretty much stayed the same size. No matter which way I tried to do this it didn't work...I just ended up doing this manually (scaling the text manually and separately even though the headline and text was in a group) not sure what I'm doing wrong but I hope it's a simple fix..... This seems like a basic thing to be able to do (works in Indesign haha) Thanks in advance.
  10. 1. Create a group of several layers of any kind 2. Add a mask layer to the group 3. Ungroup the layers 4. The mask layer has been deleted This only happens to mask layers subsequently added to existing groups. Mask layers that exist before creating the group are not being removed when ungrouping the layers. AP 1.7.3.481
  11. Hey. I study Affinity designer. Tell me, please, how to configure the export to PDF or EPS so that the layers and groups remain in place? I grouped the elements into groups and layers in the iPad app, but they ungrouped when exported to EPS or PDF
  12. Hello, I have many projects made with older than current 1.7.2 version, and now when I open them I'm facing a problem related with mask in groups and my files are all messed up. The issue is that when you group layer adjustments and then apply a mask on the group, the mask is applied to everything underneath and not only to group contents. I attached an example file, the mask applied to the group should be applied to Curves adjustment and Recolour adjustment, instead it's applied to the layer underneath. I made a mockup image of the actual result vs what should be. Thanks example.afphoto
  13. Hello, Happens in both Publisher 1.7.2.471, and Publisher BETA 1.7.3.475. Windows 10. Dell 7530 Precision laptop. Have come across a bug in my workflow when aligning and grouping the aligned items. I have attached 5 images to show the steps and results. Here is a step by step to reproduce: New document. Place 3 objects on the canvas. Select all three items Select the Alignment button at top middle of screen (above ruler) In the Align Horizontally section, select Selection Bounds Select Space Horizontally In the Align Vertically section, select Selection Bounds Select Align Middle Don't hit the OK button yet. Items are now aligned and spaced as expected. On the keyboard, group those items using Control-G Items jump back to original layout, unaligned and unspaced. Now hit the OK button. The unaligned and unspaced items now jump down the page and are Aligned Middle to the spread. It is step 10, Grouping the items before hitting the OK button to close the Alignment panel. Let me know if you need further explanation. Lynn
  14. Hi guys Please watch the 1 minute video. What am I doing wrong? I have no clue. Please aware this is a Group in a Group. Switching Passthrough to Normal also has no effect. All replies appreciated. Video: Grouped Adjustment Layers having no effect
  15. Hello! I'm new to Affinity Photo and am surprised with the following: If I group two adjustment layers and associate a mask layer with that group, it seems that the mask layer will be affecting the underlying pixel layer rather than the group of adjustment layers. See A.png. It works as I expected if I associate the mask layer only with one adjustment layer. See B.png. I'd like to have a mask layer affecting the group of adjustment layers. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
  16. Hello Affinities! First, I have to say: I really enjoy using Affinity Photo for "finishing" my landscape photos. Thanks for such a great product. Yesterday, on my Windows 10 desktop computer, I updated to Affinity Photo 1.7.2.471. I opened a rather complex file and instantly noticed different rendering of the photo. I used an levels adjustment layer and a gaussian blur live filter in a group to create an orton effect. I reduced opacity and I put a masked on the group. While painting with a black brush on the white mask, a checkerboard pattern occured. I simplified that. A loaded a photo, created an empty pixel above put it in a group and masked the group. Paining the mask leads to the same effect. There seems to be an bug in masking a group or is this a rendering option I can disable in the preferences? Thanks and best regards, Jens
  17. This doesn’t apply to me but the question popped into my head so I thought I’d ask as the answer might be interesting. Given the following scenario: * There is an organisation – such as a small neighbourhood group – which wants to buy a copy of, for example, Publisher to use for editing their newsletter. * They only have one newsletter editor at any time – one person who uses the software at any one time – but the editing duties may pass from person to person as it often does in small groups like this when people leave the group or the duties are transferred, etc. * All of the editors will have computers that use the same OS. * The organisation does not own or control the machines the editors will use the software on. * The group probably won’t be registered as an organisation in any kind of legal way, they’re just a bunch of people who share an interest, e.g. The Ambridge Book Club, The Borsetshire Birdwatching Society, etc. Would it be possible for that group to buy one license and ‘transfer’ that single license from one machine to another as the editing position moves to different people and different machines? Or would each new editor need to purchase a new license? I understand that people have to buy a new license if they need to use a different OS, and that’s understandable, but I was wondering what would happen in cases like that which I have outlined.
  18. Would be nice to have a BRUSH manager for both DESIGNER AND PHOTO. Rather than being stuck with order of import. The ability to save favorite brushes , and rename brush groups! Gary
  19. Ever since the upgrade when I try to group layers AP crashes. This is within a saved AP file. Windows 7 - 64 bit ~ AP 1.7.0.367 Is there a later patch after this version? I had no problems before other than kind of laggy but I don't have a real powerful computer, either so it was not unexpected. Can I just uninstall then reinstall the previous version? EDIT 6.15.19 I saved this file as a jpg and created a couple of layers in the jpg file, grouped them and there were no issues. ALSO, I did not mention that I had grouped layers in the original file so the crash is happening after the RAW file is saved as an Affinity Photo file with the history saved.
  20. Is there a way to access/open a group without ungrouping it and selecting ONLY inside that group? In other words, I want to be able to drag-select items inside a group without selecting any elements outside of the group.
  21. ... looks like this: (layer "gold ..." -> 56 %, background rectangle -> 100 %; background-group: 50 %) For correcting I added a 100 % white background (outside of the group) and adjustet the transparence of the group:
  22. Hello, I am unable to preserve an opacity gradient (transparency tool in designer) applied at the group level when exporting to svg format. With option "rasterize unsupported properties", I get a rasterize image With option "rasterize nothing", the gradient disappear Is it a some workaround ? Thanks for your help. gradient.afdesign
  23. As yet I have not found any way to group swatches, like we can have sublayers under a top layer. This would be very useful when one has so many swatches that one has to scroll to find them. Up to now I simply put is a "title swatch" (a color I do not use) and make an artificial heading for swatches that are common to that part of my work. A group-type approach to swatches would be great.
  24. When opening an SVG file, Affinity Designer will create layers from groups in an unexpected/buggy way. For example, opening the attached test.svg file, which looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <!DOCTYPE svg PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SVG 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/1.1/DTD/svg11.dtd"> <svg width="256px" height="256px" version="1.1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xml:space="preserve" xmlns:serif="http://www.serif.com/" style="fill-rule:evenodd;clip-rule:evenodd;stroke-linejoin:round;stroke-miterlimit:1.41421;"> <g id="three"> <circle cx="192" cy="64" r="8"/> <circle cx="192" cy="96" r="8"/> <circle cx="192" cy="128" r="8"/> </g> <g id="two"> <circle cx="128" cy="64" r="8"/> <circle cx="128" cy="96" r="8"/> </g> <g id="one"> <circle cx="64" cy="64" r="8"/> </g> <g id="zero"> </g> </svg> in Affinity Designer 1.6.1 will not result in an empty layer called "zero", a single element layer called "one", a two element layer called "two", etc. Instead, this is the result: That is, the "zero"- and "one"-groups were ignored, and instead we got a single free ellipse with a name taken from the ignored "one"-group's id ... The groups with id "two" and "three" were imported as expected though. This inconsistency makes working with SVG files in Affinity Designer frustrating. I'd like to be able to export as SVG, reopen that SVG and export SVG again, without losing or messing up basic structure like groups and ids ... test.svg
  25. How can one group multiple layers in a Macro? I can record a Group operation, but what is the envisioned usage of that if I am unable to have more than one layer selected before it. Also doesn't seem possible to record moving a layer into a group.
