  1. Hello everyone, I am a former graphic designer and logo designer. I got Affinity Designer 2 years ago, for graphic design purposes. But now I don't do these anymore. I want to try my hand at digital art. I know Affinity Photo is better for digital art. Is Affinity Designer good enough? or do I need Affinity Photo?
  2. Hello! I am using Affinity Photo since August 2018 but only recently I have started to do more illustrations and digital art with it. I've always been using Photoshop before then and I need to say I find Affinity fantastic! I would like to share some drawings and my latest speedpaint video. Please let me know if you have any feedback or advice to improve Thanks! Speedpaint video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKx1FbRYjZg

    Sausage party

My first piece of work done entirely on iPad. Absolute game changer, thanks for all your efforts Serif. It was worth it. (Hi-res of this will end up on instagram later, once I’ve worked out how to reformat for square on iPad)
  5. Hi I am a website developer. I love programming and also like to do visual art creation. These pencil-sketch like forests are drawn in millions of gray scale dots by computer programs and accurate mathematical computation. This article show you how I done these works in detail. If you are interested in generative/computational art, welcome to visit my website to see more artworks. You can also use the Parametric design tool I made to generate your own forest drawing.
  6. I'm interested in finding out if there are any digital art plug-ins that work with Affinity Photo. I don't need anything too fancy but I'd be interested in plug-ins with filters that can create and customize a variety of "painterly" looks from photos. If there's nothing that will do this as a plug-in, I'd be interested in recommendations for stand-alone programs that could be applied after an image is processed in Affinity and exported to a TIFF or PNG file.
  7. I just bought Affinity Photo as I'm trying to move away from adobe products. Overall your software is stellar and I'm really happy with my purchase. Aside from photography I also do digital art and have been using photoshop with astropad for a few months now and it works really well. However, I tried the same setup with Affinity Photo and it works fairly well but there seems to be some random pressure inaccuracies. The lines randomly become thick abruptly. Is there some setting that will sort this issue out or is this a bug that needs to be looked into. I hope someone here can assist me. I've attached screenshots of Affinity vs Photoshop strokes using the same setup. You can clearly seem the random blobs on the strokes. Photoshop Affinity Photo

    too much blood?

My latest project with AP, the cover for the thriller (novel) „Das Opfermesser“ (means something like "The sacrificial knife“). The novel by the german author Simon Geraedts will appear as an eBook & print edition (This work won a competition on a german designer portal; this is my first prize, I'm totally happy). :) However ... is there too much blood? http://b-bertuleit.de/das-opfermesser

    Broken 2

New work from the "Broken" series (horror-mystery-thriller-book cover-mockups). Of course made with Affinity Photo/Designer, as always. Do you like it? Or not, because .. why... I appreciate any feedback ;) TNX http://b-bertuleit.de/broken-2/
  13. Added a screenshot (Affinity Photo Workspace) in "butterfly wings", tribute to Audrey Hepburn. I love this actress. She was so petite and delicate, but also strong, and she had a lot of power. Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favorite films, and of course I also love the cat (scenes) in the movie;-) http://b-bertuleit.de/butterfly-wing/

A tribute to Audrey Hepburn (AD & AP) .
  24. This was originally an Affinity Photo test. Particularly the hair masking tool. I was surprisingly pleased with the results. If I had to do this seriously I probably wouldn't use this dancer model. But dancing models tend to make interesting poses which makes for great supernatural compositions. She had reddish hair which I enhanced and it reminded me of Dark Phoenix... so I went with it and made my alternative version of Dark Phoenix from X-Men. This was just for fun (for once). I find Affinity Photo much like Photoshop, only more "fun" to use because of live preview features and slick refined work flow and a tight smooth program operations. Only $50 no subscription was a bonus too. This image was originally 6000px Wide and which made the program struggled a bit more and made the fan in my Macbook Pro 2011 sound like a cyclone! My artwork is also on Behance: https://www.behance.net/gallery/28344101/Dark-Phoenix
