  1. Well people, I have done it. I've cancelled my Adobe CC subscription. Here's the proof. Anyone else packed it in with them? (It's a bit off topic, but I can't find a general/misc category for posting my own news.)
  2. Affinity Photo 1.7 beta completely replaced my Photoshop needs. I would like to have a Digital Asset Management software like Lightroom from Affinity. This will enable culling and then taking them to Affinity Photo for more detailed work. So how to do image management until we get another gem from Affinity? Nikon View NX-i does the job for basic image management. View NXi + Affinity Photo is a true replacement of subscription based Adobe Photography CC plan. Right Click The Image you want to take to Affinity Photo. Register If you have not registered before. Another way to take your image to Affinity Photo.
  3. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the export process in AD. It seems powerful, but it's fairly different from what I'm used to. I think I'm following the correct steps, as I was successfully able to export my files to my Affinity folder on my iPad as well as to iCloud. However, when I do the same process and select a folder in Creative Cloud, it says that it exports...but the files don't show up in CC. I had no troubles IMPORTING my files from CC into AD. Not sure if it's a bug, my device, my connection, or me. Anyone else have an issue exporting to CC? Thanks Toby
  4. I am making a determined effort to wean myself off of Adobe Creative Cloud, (Lightroom & Photoshop) and replace them with Affinity Photo but I am worried about losing the ability to use Photoshop plugins, (Nik & Topaz Collections) if I unsubscribe from Adobe Creative Cloud. Am I right to assume that if I do unsubscribe from CC it will not affect my usage of the plugins in Affinity Photo? Many thanks for advice. Andrew-Bede
  5. Hi all, I've just been sent this little link: about a group of today's Photoshoppers, who were asked to use PS Version 1.0 and see how the slimline software started off. http://petapixel.com/2015/03/12/watch-as-photoshop-experts-try-their-hand-at-the-original-photoshop-1-0/ This should be a trip down memory lane for some and a history lessons for others. (Win XP/Mac OS 9.22 and Photoshop 6.0 for my first taste.) But more importantly, this a lesson for the APh detractors. There are plenty of things missing right now/on the roadmap. So go easy on the app's limitations: it's STILL useable and that's what matters B). So for a Beta, it's still better (Than PS V1.0)
